In our Apprentice Sales Advisers, we look for a positive mindset, people whocan support their team to get things done and enjoy getting involved.

Your role at Superdrug as one of our Apprentice Sales Advisers will be allabout serving customers mostly at the till point where you will deliverexcellent service and make sure customers don’t miss out on any of our greatStar Buys. You’ll help ensure that the store is well stocked, and a high levelof store presentation is maintained and will actively be involved in achievingthe store targets.

Your Assessor and store team will work with you to improve yourcommunication, team work and organisational skills. They will support you withyour employability skills including interview skills, CV preparation, managingyour money, health, and wellbeing.

Your training will take place in store so no college days! Atthe end of your training, you will complete an end point assessment and onsuccessful completion you will achieve a Retailer L2 Apprenticeship.

During your Apprenticeship your Assessor and Store Manager willdiscuss with you any potential progression opportunities, including becoming asales advisor, team leader or other retail roles.

National wholesale and retail group are seeking an experienced Sales Floor Manager to work at their Paarden Eiland operation in Cape Town. This role is a senior level position and is second in charge to the Branch Manager. Previous experience in the hardware, flooring, tile or related sectors will be an added advantage.

POSITION INFO : RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Manage and mentor the sales team on service standards, product knowledge, and customer interaction.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly.
  • Develop and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Drive sales by ensuring that deals are closed by internal Sales Representatives.
  • Setting and monitoring sales budgets (monthly and annually) and achieving sales targets.
  • Ensure displays and pricing on the sales floor are updated and correct.
  • General upkeep, maintenance, and attractiveness of the sales floor.
  • General sales administration.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Preparing training programs and training reps on weak areas
  • Monitor and control days off and leave.
  • Using the disciplinary procedures, if appropriate, to correct unacceptable behaviour. Monitor reps’ attendance and conduct and initiate appropriate counselling or disciplinary action where necessary.
  • Liaise with the Head Office Marketing Department and Branch Manager in creating the monthly advertising schedule, input on current adverts and advise on current in store trends.
  • Responsible for opening and closing of store as per internal roster.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Management
  • Minimum 5 years sales management experience (experience in hardware, flooring, tiles and related – will be an added advantage).
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems for Retail.
