Role Context

Key responsibilities
Contribute to the overall strategic direction and management of the country plus the sub-regional ground operations strategy (short and long term) and policies within overall regional DHL context in terms of end-to-end profitability service quality compliance process and productivity.
Manages the profitability growth and investment of the organizations ground operations within country.
Establishes the required ground operations standards and procedures to provide cost-effective superior customer service.
Liaise with relevant departments to bring ground operations expertise to the customer relationship and ensure cost effective premium service offering.
Directs the ground operations budgets within principles set by division / region and proposals for the required investments in infrastructure technology equipment systems networks or any other resources needed in country.
Drive continuous improvement of ground operations processes people systems to enhance capabilities through standardizing operational practices adopting relevant BDPs and optimizing work methods to maximize productivity improvement.
Specifies ground operations service and quality targets within divisional / regional guidelines and ensures the desired results are achieved for the country.
Coordinate support needed from support services including Health & Safety Security and Facilities.
Empower direct reports to make decisions relevant to their role and function.

Align people competencies to meet the business objectives and manage staff competency levels and performance according to service requirements and business needs.
Develop yearly Ground Operations budget (opex and capex)
Manage Ground Operations budget on a monthly basis to ensure the desired results are achieved.
Coordinates support from relevant stakeholders for GROUND OPS investments. BCA (Business Case Applications) Management and ROI reviews.
Prepares necessary frequent reports for VP OPS SSA Area office and SMT.
Manage trends identified by reviewing customer inquiries service requests and complaints and take the necessary corrective action for sustainable performance.
To manage Ground Operations KPIs standards and reporting Balance operational metrics against operations metrics and translate trends into easy-to-understand reports or presentations for SMT and SSA Area office.
Minimum Requirements
Education & experience
Business Related Qualification
Post-graduate qualification in Business Management (advantage)
Significant years operations experience preferably within transportation or logistics industry minimum 5 years at management level.
Proficiency in all MS Suite Tools : Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.
Solid Communication skills in English spoken and written.
Proven record of accomplishment of managing a large operation with direct reports.
Ability to plan organize control & manage risks.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.

Job Purpose
The Principal Environmental Consultant will play a strategic and leadership role in delivering complex environmental and social projects across Africa, with a particular emphasis on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) processes within South Africa. The role requires expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality outputs that meet national regulatory frameworks and international best practice standards, including those of international financial institutions and development lenders (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles).
Key responsibilities include leading and overseeing the end-to-end implementation of large-scale ESIA and related environmental and social projects. This encompasses project scoping, impact assessment, report preparation, coordination of specialist studies, public and stakeholder engagement, regulatory authority consultations, and overall project management and administration.
The Principal Environmental Consultant will also ensure that all deliverables are technically robust, legally compliant, and aligned with client expectations. Strong emphasis will be placed on quality assurance, risk management, client relationship development, and mentoring of junior staff.
Minimum Requirements & Responsibilities
- Over 15 years’ experience in ESIAs with a strong background in energy-related projects.
- B.Sc. (Hons) or Master’s in environmental or Natural Sciences or similar qualification.
- Must have a sound knowledge of environmental legislation processes within South Africa, with an opportunity to manage ESIAs in the rest of Africa.
- Must have sound project management knowledge (methodology, proposal/ report compilation, budget control, timely project completion, write-off presentation skills, etc.).
- Must develop and sustain client relationships, leading to repeat business.
- Must be able to lead the preparation and submission of winning proposals.
- Must be able to manage large, complex ESIA projects.
- Must be able to travel within South Africa and possibly other African countries.
- Must be able to complete and review reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Job Description
Our client is looking for a dynamic and highly organised General Manager / Head of Operations to oversee the delivery, growth, and operational excellence of the company.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, driving business development, refining internal systems, and serving as the central operational anchor between directors, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Translate company vision into measurable operational objectives and project roadmaps
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, incl. internal systems, team performance, and project workflows
- Lead strategic planning, OKRs, and reporting for board meetings
- Project Oversight & Delivery:
- Track and coordinate multiple court builds across different stages
- Monitor procurement, logistics, timelines, and installation teams to ensure delivery on time and on budget
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures for scale
- Business Development & Client Relations:
- Support pipeline growth through proposal review, pricing strategy, and client engagement
- Serve as the point of contact for key clients and strategic partners
- Represent the company in investor, club, and commercial partner meetings
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to keep it at the forefront of the industry
- Financial Management:
- Collaborate with directors and accounts to manage cash flow, forecasts, and P&L performance
- Ensure accurate reporting of project margins, commission structures, and cost allocations
- Support budget preparation and financial compliance
- Team Management & Culture:
- Lead and support a lean, cross-functional team including project managers, site teams, operations staff, and core portfolio leads: Architecture, Procurement, Logistics, Construction & Installation.
- Create a culture of clarity, accountability, and high performance
- Identify gaps and lead recruitment or upskilling as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Operations, Property Development, or Engineering
- 4–8 years in operational or management roles, ideally within project delivery, construction, or development
- Strong track record of managing concurrent projects and leading teams
- Proven ability to optimize internal systems and processes for scale
- Strong financial fluency and commercial negotiation skills
- Passion for experience in the sports development industry is a plus.

The Senior Operations Managers mission is to support both Foundever and our clients in achieving service, quality, contribution goals and associate engagement with a Can Do attitude across the site.
You will convey strategic vision to the team and build consensus for any changes that is forthcoming.
As a key leader you will be charged with making program level decisions that result in the greatest overall outcome for our clients, their customers, and our business.
You will Institute new policies, technology, equipment, workflows or whatever other changes can positively impact the business.
You will deputise for Country Manager as required ensuring the site runs monthly and service is maintained in their absence.

You will be a self-assured competent manager with experience in driving KPI performance, client management, understanding financial budgets, forecasts, pricing models and bill to pay. You will be able to establish robust working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Performance- Review performance for each client and provide support and accountability at each level.
- Drive KPI performance.
- Responsible for Sitel’s global standard framework and other operating systems, policies and procedures, including development, implementation and continual improvement of processes to best achieve overall business goals.
- Create a high performance environment through regular communications via team meetings, monthly one-on-ones and performance reviews with all direct reports, verify performance against operational and financial metrics and manage underperformance through improvement plans.
- Ensure a process is in place to consistently deliver solutions to our clients on a proactive basis, to enhance the quality and decrease the cost of service delivery.
- Participate in bids as appropriate.
- Identify possible business opportunities for growth within the current business
- Review and implement actions related to client satisfaction surveys to ensure a process of continuous improvement.
- Communicate and escalate client issues to appropriate teams.
- Serve as an effective business partner to multi-site clients, working in conjunction with peers; support the broader business line and corporate units to achieve goals.
- Promote an engagement management philosophy, living the Sitel values.
- Development of the leadership team via succession planning and leadership development.
- Promote coaching and development of associates through processes such as the continuous performance management (CPM).
- P&L management
- Forecasting/resource planning and prioritisation.
- Achieve Revenue and Profit to EBTIDA.
- Demonstrate sound fiscal management in achieving profitability goals to EBITDA level and proactive cash flow management.
- Establish, monitor and maintain priorities to meet client, site and corporate goals.
Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills with ability to manage multiple teams and large groups of people.
Expertise: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Contact Centre Operations Manager role.
Ability: Good numeric and verbal reasoning skills.
Critical thinking: Effective problem-solving skills.
Employee perfomance: Performance Management skills.
Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of industry & general business management.
Background: A clear criminal background check.
