Our Cape Town office is looking for a Creative Director (Copywriting or Art Director) to join our Creative Team.

Our ideal candidate is a solutions-driven, conceptual Creative Director who has honed his/her craft in both Digital and ATL. We are looking for someone who has excellent time-management skills; is detail-oriented and holds him/herself accountable.

The successful incumbent will conceptualize creative campaign strategies and translate them into high quality digital and ATL campaigns from concept to completion in accordance with brand guidelines. We want a Creative Director with a great, can-do attitude with an innate ability to lead a vibrant creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Well-versed in web, app and social media collateral
  • Supervising and managing all production stagesDevelop a constructive working relationship with internal teams and assist in building creative rationales
  • Share knowledge and build excitement of creative trends within the team
  • Respond quickly to team needs, providing support and constructive feedback
  • Working closely with the client service and traffic teams on daily aspects of projects
  • Passion for the work and a key driver for high creative standards.
  • Remain up-to-date and ahead of the curve with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques and technologies

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or diploma in Copywriting or Art Direction
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience as an experienced Creative Director - Copywriter/Art Director or Creative Associate in an advertising/creative agency
  • Experienced on retail and brand experience on large blue-chip accounts
  • A conceptual portfolio consisting of television/video and other platform campaigns
  • Proactive and have a good understanding of how to run a campaign and push process in order to meet the objectives of the brief
  • Proficient in the latest software and confident working on a Mac
  • Must be able to work under extreme pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience on retail accounts highly advantageous
  • Must be comfortable leading presentations at top level client meetings.
