ABOUT THE ROLEAs Head of University Partnerships, you will lead the management and delivery of HyperionDev’s university partnerships, fostering relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and building trust in our products and performance. Working closely with the Department Head, your role will bridge business development, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic growth.
Ideal candidates bring experience in account management, client success, and a strong project management mindset, with an ability to navigate higher education structures and make an impact in a fast-paced, start-up environment. You will leverage a deep understanding of partnership dynamics to support university partners and will excel at managing multiple stakeholders, communicating effectively, and driving new business opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Own the overall success of university partnerships by expertly managing partner relationships and striving for a best-in-class approach to everything we do.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the university ecosystem through proactive outreach, consultative selling and a long-term strategic view towards growing the partnerships.
- Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner relationship management
- Oversee operational planning and risk management across key phases of the engagement with the partner, and problem-solving issues as they arise.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation when issues arise, troubleshooting, and ensuring quick resolution.
- Provide quantitative/qualitative analysis to inform team decision-making and product roadmap
- Ensure the HyperionDev team is following up on its commitments, is coordinated in its activities, and responds in a timely way to achieve positive outcomes.
- Conducting business reviews and sharing insights and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of account management experience, customer success or client servicing experience, with at least 3 years spent in edtech/higher education.
- Demonstrated history in high partner retention and growth and a track record of supporting institutions make a step change in their academic adoption of e-learning.
- An ability to act as a trusted external advisor to institutional senior staff, developing strong partnership relationships and influencing across institutional boundaries.
- High level communication and presentation skills including executive level presentations.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
- An ability to manage complex decision-making processes involving numerous stakeholders with varying backgrounds and interests.
- Prior experience in a high-growth, tech-focused environment
- Prior experience with OPM models in Universities beyond South Africa, eg Australia, UK or European Markets.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to experiential pedagogical practices, which might include: technical and/or aesthetic instruction in sound practice; hands-on work with local cultural institutions; sound-based exploration of local environments; critical making of many varieties; digital humanities or research creation methods. The candidate will design and teach courses that integrate historical and contemporary approaches to sound in film and media, as well as enhance student learning and develop innovative curricular models that respond to the evolving nature of media studies.
Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence which can be demonstrated by: a record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals or forthcoming publications meeting high international standards; the submitted research statement; presentations at significant conferences; awards and accolades; and strong endorsements from referees.
Evidence of excellence in teaching will be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments, and the teaching dossier, including a teaching statement, sample course materials, and teaching evaluations or other evidence of superior performance in teaching-related activities submitted as part of the application, as well as strong letters of reference. CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics focuses on building and maintaining excellent academic standards in theoretical and practical application. The Department is looking for a qualified, experienced dietitian, registered in South Africa, with in-depth knowledge of all fields of the Dietetics profession, but with expertise in research supervision and attracting grants. The ideal candidate should demonstrate national and international experience in the field of research. This person will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the learning process of undergraduates, and supervision of postgraduate students in the Department, to drive and lead core research activities and a team of researchers, to contribute to community engagement, and to demonstrate leadership in administrative commitments of the Department and School. Duties will also include module and programme development and negotiation and implementation of work integrated learning.
In the case of an Associate Professor:
In addition to academic qualifications, the candidate should have experience in leadership role in internal and external review processes to enhance the quality of learning and teaching. The applicant must have extensive relevant experience (4 - 7 years) in facilitating learning and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels with a growing national recognition for the quality of teaching practice. They should possess proven experience in research, managing national and international collaborations, and supervising students at various academic levels (undergraduate/masters/PhDs), with at least one graduate that completed a PhD under the candidate as main supervisor.
The applicant is expected to have experience in educational leadership, whether it be programme management, coordination, Head of Department (HOD) alongside actively participating in engagement programmes.
In the case of senior lecturer:
The applicant is expected to demonstrate an ability to contribute to internal and external review processes to enhance the quality of learning and teaching. The applicant must have relevant experience 3 - 5 years) in facilitating learning and teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. They should possess experience in research and post graduate student supervision at various levels.
The department is strategically enhancing its commitment to teaching, research, and community engagement. Therefore, applicants should bring substantial university-level teaching experience and a proven research record in Dietetics.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Lecturing and taking full responsibility for various modules (both theoretical and practical components) according to the needs of and job allocation in the Department, including the co-ordination and administration of various modules;
Review, update and develop innovative academic curricula to ensure relevance and effectiveness;
Develop, maintain, update and share module material that is relevant and of a high quality and include interprofessional activities;
Guide students in work integrated learning and assist in the co-ordination there-of;
To successfully supervise at all levels of postgraduate studies, particularly at the doctoral level and take the leadership role in research;
To publish research in national and international journals accredited for subsidy by the DHE;
To assist students to secure research funding and grants and funding for project operational costs from external stakeholders;
To represent and support the department on inter-faculty and inter-institutional committees;
To contribute to and timeously complete administrative and/or ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department, Director of School and Dean of the Faculty;
To take leadership roles within the department and if required, be willing to serve as Head of the Department;
To serve and represent the department and institution within the broader dietetics and nutrition community;
Participate in academic engagement and the scholarship of learning, contributing to internal and external service to the discipline and profession;
Contribute to community engagement initiatives;
Engage actively in professional bodies and academic associations

The Department of English in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the field of Indigenous Literatures. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
Candidates must have earned a PhD in English or a closely comparable discipline, with a specialization in Indigenous Literatures or a related area. We seek candidates with working experience engaging with Indigenous communities, organizations, institutions and protocols. Expertise in any of the following fields would also be advantageous: creative writing, critical race studies, diaspora and transnational studies, digital humanities, poetry. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of excellence in both teaching and research. Teaching and research skills will also need to be demonstrated in the context of interviews and during an on-campus scholarly presentation. Candidates will have an established international reputation and the successful candidate will be expected to sustain and lead innovative, independent and/or collaborative research and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, supported and externally funded research program.

Purpose of the PositionThe NWU Desmond Tutu School of Medicine is being established on the Potchefstroom Campus aimed to accommodate the first cohort of MBChB students from 2028. The School is divided into four areas: MBChB Programme; Clinical Specialities and Sub-Specialities; Research; FHS/FNAS Special Projects. The MBChB Programme is divided into three distinctive phases: Foundational Phase (1-18 months) with a strong focus on Biomedical Sciences; Intermediate Phase (18-36 months) with a strong focus on Integrated Pathology and Clinical Pharmacology; Clinical Phase (36-72 months) with a strong focus on Clinical Rotations. The MBChB Programme is a 6-year, integrated, spiral curriculum.
The Senior Lecturer in Chemical Pathology will function predominantly in the Intermediate Phase in Integrated Pathology and will also be responsible for service delivery in the Centre for Human Metabolomics.
Minimum Requirements- A Master of Medicine degree in Clinical Pathology (NQF level 9).
- An MBChB or equivalent – Bachelor’s in Medicine and Surgery (NQF level 8).
- Registration with the HPCSA.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a medical education field related to chemical pathology within the context of an MBChB (or related undergraduate medicine programme).
