• Perform routine and advanced veterinary diagnostic tests, including serology, molecular diagnostics, and bacteriology.
• Verify, interpret, and troubleshoot diagnostic results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Receive, register, and process samples in the LIMS, maintaining full traceability.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, including cleaning, calibration, and servicing.
• Ensure timely reporting of results, manage turnaround times, and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Adhere to OHS, SANAS, and AssureCloud quality standards in all diagnostic processes.
• Manage stock and consumables to support uninterrupted testing.
• Communicate professionally with veterinarians, clients, and internal teams.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain SAVC registration and diagnostic expertise.
• Support AssureCloud’s values, ethics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description: We have an opportunity for a Small Animal Vet Locum to work in a friendly practice in Preston on the following dates:

Monday 1st September – 10:00am – 5:00/5:30pm (2nd vet)

Monday 8th – Saturday 13th September – Sole charge, Mon–Fri: 9:00am – 7:00pm, Sat: 9:00am – 5:00/5:30pm

Location: Hoedspruit | Wildscapes Veterinary & Conservation Services

Wildscapes Veterinary and Conservation Services is seeking a committed and capable wildlife veterinarian to join our growing team based in Hoedspruit, South Africa.

We are looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of two years’ experience in wildlife practice. Practical exposure to black and white rhinoceros, elephants, and carnivores will be advantageous. Experience with helicopter darting is a bonus, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities Include:

General wildlife veterinary work, including field immobilisations for treatment, collaring, translocation, and research

Disease management and mitigation in free-ranging and managed populations

Rhino dehorning procedures and related conservation work

Performing humane euthanasia where necessary

Collaboration with conservation bodies, researchers, and field teams

Mentorship and supervision of veterinary students

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent

Current registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Valid driver’s licence

Willingness to travel internationally (up to 3–4 weeks at a time)

Comfortable working in remote, sometimes harsh environments

Willingness to work irregular and extended hours

Ability to function well within a diverse, multidisciplinary team

Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

We are looking to add an Animal Care Attendant to our team at Animal Tender Pet Resort

REPORTS TO: General Manager

PAY: $15.00/hour + tips

CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):

• Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.
• Sanitizes/disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas.
• Provides clean bedding and ensures pet guests have clean water at all times.
• Makes sure that each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal and maintains cleanliness of food prep areas.
• Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet guest; brings concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
• May be required to supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests.
• May be required to assist with bathing and brushing of canine guests.
• Checks and picks up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day.
• Monitors pet belongings; cleans belongings as needed; assures the return of pet belongings to owners. Carries pet belongings to storage area, front desk or to assist customers, as needed.
• Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!
• Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred.
• Displays a professional manner at all times.
• Entry Level role. High school/ College/ Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply.

Physical:

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must frequently lift 40 pounds.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Standardize the connection between RCA operations and Aviagen’s Global Health and Welfare Team.
• Conduct health and biosecurity audits and monitoring to ensure the security of supply by maintaining health status.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Zambian Agriculture Government Officials.
• Support farm managers in achieving best practices and ensure adherence to SOP implementations.
• Interpret laboratory results for the company.
• Provide vaccination training and perform audits.

• Develop veterinary benchmarking for TMEA and RCA operations.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of the poultry industry, including Grandparent, Parent Stock, and Broiler generations.
• Knowledge of poultry incubation and nutrition is advantageous.
• Familiarity with experimental design for poultry health, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Proficiency in clinical diagnosis and developing effective solutions.
• Experience working with multinational stakeholders and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Experience in joint venture partnerships is highly desirable.
