Strategy & Leadership

  • Set and execute the O&M strategy for South Africa in alignment with group objectives.

Introduction

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a growing company in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage capital structures, investments, and funding strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead financial risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the executive team and support decision-making with financial insights.
  • Mentor and manage the finance team to achieve high performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CA(SA) or MBA advantageous).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles (CFO, Senior Investment Officer, or similar).
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, risk management, and capital structuring.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Industry experience in solar/EPC/renewable energy is advantageous but not essential.
Package & Remuneration

Salary: R100,000 – R120,000 CTC per month (depending on experience)
