JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Credit Lead role is to effectively manage and lead the Global Business Services’ (GBS) credit management team to achieve targets and key performance indicators in line with credit objectives whilst minimising credit risk.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Debtor Management:

  • Proactively ensure that all receivables for accounts managed by the GBS are paid on time through application and proper use of debtor management systems and models and apply corrective action for any deviations to meet and or exceed collection targets.
  • Developing new and enforcing existing debt collection strategies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate cash application processes.

Credit Risk Management:

  • Manage the risk profiles of customers managed by the GBS within predefined limits through application of credit risk management systems to ensure that all defaulting customers are managed within policy and internal guidelines.

Customer Account Management:

  • Establish business controls that allows tracking, overseeing and management of customer queries for accounts managed by the GBS, payment disputes and reconciliations within approved SLA's with no deviations from the policy to ensure adherence to Group audit and continuous business process improvement.
  • Maintaining a balance between collection efficiency and customer relationship management.

Business Controls Management:

  • Ensure that all necessary business controls are adequately implemented and adherence thereto by staff. Further ensure that deviations are reported and approved to ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and procedures.

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Networking And Relationship Building :

  • Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with business and management, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.

Leadership And Capability Development:

  • Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalization of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs.

COBE, POPI and ABC Policies:

  • Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the company’s policies and provisions of the Codes of Conduct & Business Ethics (COBE), Protection of Personal Information (POPI) and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention programmes to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.

Good Governance:

  • Enforce the implementation of applicable company procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to the established Manual of Authorities (MoAs) to safeguard the company’s interest, image and reputation.
  • Enforcement of the Credit policy.

Mindset, Behaviour and Culture:

  • Develop and implement distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementing value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill a high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES :

  • NQF Level 7 qualification (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law advantageous.
  • 8 years’ Credit management experience required in oil company / commercial environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems, credit management software and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, automation tools, and workflow optimisation.
  • Ability to lead, influence and deliver results in a fast paced, matrixed environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Job Purpose:

The Regional Head of IT for Cape Town is responsible for managing and supporting all IT operations within our Cape town offices, while supporting the broader national IT team ensuring the availability, stability, and security of systems in the Cape town operation. The role focuses on delivering effective IT support for operations, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all IT operations within the assigned region, including infrastructure, connectivity, and end-user support.
  • Ensure optimal performance and uptime of systems critical to operations (e.g., diallers,).
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT assets including servers, networks, telephony systems, desktops, and security tools.
  • Act as the regional escalation point for high-impact incidents and ensure resolution within SLA.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support regional IT needs (e.g., ISPs, telecom providers, hardware suppliers).
  • Support new site setups, campaign rollouts, expansions, and relocations within the region.
  • Ensure data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance with POPIA, GDPR, and internal IT governance policies.
  • Conduct regular IT audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery drills for regional sites.
  • Monitor IT asset inventory and coordinate procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of equipment in the region.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the IT support team, ensuring high levels of service delivery and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Experience in BPO, call centre, or telecom environments is essential
  • Strong knowledge of dialler system functionality and management
  • Proficient in network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, Windows/ servers

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
  • CCNA or similar networking certifications
  • ITIL certification
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Good communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
  • Strong documentation and process development skills

What will you do?

  • A position has become available for the Head of Sales, Santam Direct.
  • We are seeking an individual highly competent in both operational and strategic aspects of Direct insurance and Direct Sales. The candidate should be able to work autonomously and drive the success of the wider team and functions.
  • The position reports directly to the Head of Direct, Santam Client Solutions.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that the executive-approved sales targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Define the strategic direction of Santam Direct and Referral Sales.
  • Develop an effective sales strategy with measurable metrics and timelines to meet key performance objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence to maximize efficiencies and growth, fostering a high-performance culture and positioning Santam Direct sales as a market leader.
  • Oversee the leads strategy, ensuring sufficient leads and optimal conversion potential.
  • Manage the division’s budget and resources effectively.
  • Take full responsibility for the income statement of Santam Direct Sales.
  • Strategically create and leverage new opportunities for the business and the wider Commercial and Personal Business.
  • Write sustainable and profitable new business.
  • Engage with actuarial and underwriting teams to identify risks and opportunities related to underwriting criteria and pricing.
  • Ensure the sales team adheres to TCF principles, providing clients with a great experience, especially as the first engagement point.
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments.
  • Manage projects with internal and external impacts, including collaboration across business units.
  • Build strategic alliances within Santam and the wider Sanlam group.
  • Implement and promote performance management, coaching, and talent development for sustainable business operations.
  • Manage relationships with marketing partners and referral partnerships.
  • Utilize benchmark information to improve the Direct and Contact Centre environment.
  • Ensure agents’ activities comply with Quality Assurance standards.
  • Maintain an efficient, productive sales contact center, maximizing sales opportunities.

What will make you successful in this role?

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in direct-to-client sales.
  • At least 8 years in a direct environment, with at least 5 years in senior management.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Commerce (advantageous).
  • Insurance qualification – minimum NQF5.
  • FAIS compliance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Short Term Insurance.

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Head of Studio will provide vision, leadership, and operational management in the development and implementation of the Studio.

In addition, drive an entrepreneurial culture in the Studio and significantly grow the business by exposing capabilities to potential clients.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Effective management and implementation of new imagery projects and product systems as required
  • Ensure that actual product throughputs and studio-produced sales targets are met each financial year
  • Develop and monitor the approved annual operating and capital budgets for imagery systems
  • Drive strict adherence to quality control measures and ensure metrics are met annually
  • Develop and maintain business policies and standards to maximize effectiveness and minimize costs related to the Studio
  • Ensure all imagery systems operate according to internal standards, industry standards, and legal requirements
  • Contribute towards retention strategies by establishing long-term relationships with suppliers and customers

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification; matric is the minimum requirement
  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant management experience
  • Proven track record managing complex teams, project management, studio and/or agency management; entrepreneurial experience preferred
  • Significant experience in a retail-centric environment is desirable
  • Detailed understanding of the South African brand and retail landscape
  • Advanced computer skills
  • SA Citizens only
  • Must be criminally clear
  • Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area
