Key Responsibilities Warehousing Operations

  • Manage weekly cycle counts and coordinate monthly stock takes with production and support teams.
  • Ensure the application of FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and Line-of-Sight (LOS) principles during stock storage and issuing.

Compliance
  • Operate within established controls and procedures to ensure process integrity.

Customer Service

Cost and Financial Control
  • Contribute to the budget preparation process.

Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field (NQF Level 5)
Experience
  • Up to 5 years experience in Warehousing, Inventory, Logistics, or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment

What’s the role?

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at the Sunshine manufacturing site. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role where you’ll oversee the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of raw materials and finished goods across a complex, multi-product warehouse operation. You’ll lead a team of 15, ensuring that our logistics function supports production, meets customer expectations, and aligns with AkzoNobel’s high standards for safety, quality, and performance.

We will count on you to :
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all warehouse activities, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks—from raw material intake to final product delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards across safety, health, security, and environment. You’ll be a visible safety leader, embedding AkzoNobel’s HSE values into every process and decision.
  • Oversee stock control processes, investigate discrepancies, and implement best practices to maintain real-time inventory accuracy. You’ll ensure that every item is stored, labelled, and tracked to the highest standard.

The Opportunity

Daily Responsibilities
