- Ensure compliance with current legislation, standards, and legal requirements by validating risk assessments during HSE inspections.
- Review and ensure risk assessments are completed for all contractor jobs prior to commencement of work.
- Conduct job hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), and improve processes to mitigate hazards.
- Identify risks in tasks, score hazards, and implement necessary controls to reduce significant risks.
People Management
- Support people management initiatives to ensure timely access to information, document storage, and meeting SHEEQ deadlines.
- Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with ISO standards and SharePoint management for documentation.
- Track the performance of all SHEEQ-related targets and deadlines.
- Manage the consolidated HSE Plant training plan, ensuring proper execution and documentation.
- Attend daily production QSB meetings to provide SHEE-related information and participate in strategic team meetings.
- Assist with daily administration functions and ensure continuous improvement in SHE culture.
- Perform any other duties as required by the SHEEQ Manager or Duty Manager.
Job Specifications QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- National Diploma in Safety Management (preferred) or equivalent
- SAMTRAC or similar safety qualification
- Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO standards, Environmental, Noise & Energy regulations
Advantageous:
- Tertiary studies in SHE (Safety, Health, Environmental) Management or equivalent
- Additional training or work experience in OHS Act, ISO, Environmental, and Energy Management
EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing or related field.
Advantageous:
