Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality occupational health and safety training aligned with NOSA, SAQA, SETA, and QCTO standards. The trainer will facilitate learning, assess and moderate learners, and contribute to SafetyCloud's mission of promoting workplace safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plan training sessions, ensuring materials and equipment are ready and functional.
- Deliver training using appropriate methods tailored to learners' skills, language, and cultural backgrounds.
- Facilitate training in line with SAQA/SETA/QCTO/NOSA and SafetyCloud's Quality Management Systems.
- Assess and moderate learners according to SETA/QCTO/NOSA codes of conduct.
- Provide confidential feedback and complete Portfolios of Evidence per assessment guides.
- Ensure security and confidentiality of learner documentation.
- Promote SafetyCloud by responding to client queries and identifying marketing opportunities during training.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with SafetyCloud products and SHEQ best practices.
- Take personal responsibility for assessor duties and compliance.
Qualifications:
- SAMTRAC or Diploma in Safety Management.
- Registered Assessor and Moderator (SETA/QCTO).
- Train the Trainer certification.
- ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 certificates (advantageous).
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years HSE training experience.
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in SHEQ.
- Experience with SAQA/SETA/QCTO/NOSA frameworks.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt training to diverse learner needs.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (advantageous).
- Excellent communication and learner engagement.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
Other:
- Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
- Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Willing to travel.
- Fluent in English and at least 1 of the other national languages, will be advantageous.
