MAIN PURPOSE :

The Team: We are seeking a Manager, Health & Safety Planning, to support the development and continuous improvement of the company’s global Health & Safety (H&S) framework. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Health & Safety, this role is responsible for developing H&S policies, procedures, and long-term strategies that align with global objectives and regional operational realities. The Manager, Health and Safety Planning plays a critical role in assessing health and safety risks, designing regional and local crisis response plans, and supporting the integration of wellness, occupational health, and safety considerations into the broader H&S vision. They will work closely with regional and local program administration teams to ensure consistency, cross-functional alignment, and operational feasibility. This role is highly collaborative and requires strong analytical, strategic, and communication capabilities to translate global standards into regionally tailored, actionable guidance.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, Risk Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Written and verbal proficiency with English required.
- Minimum of 8 years of H&S strategy, program development, or risk planning experience, preferably in a global or multi-regional environment.
- Ability to translate a global H&S policy into regionally tailored strategies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of global occupational H&S regulations and international standards. Certifications in H&S (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Act, ISO 45001, OSHA 29 CFR) strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, developing standard operating procedures, and drafting emergency response plans for diverse operational environments.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally, particularly with program administrators, Human Resources, operations, and legal/regulatory teams.

- Monitor and analyze feedback from incident investigations, audits, and performance tracking to refine and improve H&S documentation and strategies.
- Identify and share emerging best practices and continuous improvement opportunities across countries and regions.
- Contribute to safety culture assessments and recommend policy or training strategies to improve safety engagement and awareness.
- Provide inputs for budget planning by estimating resource needs (headcount, systems, training, etc.) required to support safety initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a global H&S planning calendar, including policy review cycles, audit schedules, and strategic planning milestones.
- Work with the Business Enablement team to support the integration of digital tools and platforms for planning, tracking, and reporting H&S performance across regions.
- Ensure planning processes are inclusive of cultural, legal, and operational differences across all markets.
- Align H&S planning with broader environmental, social, governance (ESG), and sustainability goals, contributing to corporate reporting and stakeholder disclosures.
