  • Proven track record of successfully delivering supply chain projects in the FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of both TMS and WMS platforms, with practical implementation expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Experience in both strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Experience working across regional or global supply chain networks.

What Will You Do?

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Provide sales support when needed:

  • Work closely with the sales team in assisting prospective companies in their Microsoft technology assessment by obtaining information about their business strategies, processes, desired outcomes and critical success factors and evaluate technology tools to enable them to carry out their objectives
  • Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution
  • Develop statement of work and scope documents
  • Participate in a team completing a Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ)

Perform on-site consulting services for implementation projects, including but not limited to:

  • Implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Software, with a specific focus on the supply chain stream
  • Lead and or participate in the requirement analysis workshops
  • Understand, communicate, interpret, and document business processes and requirements
  • Utilize Microsoft implementation standards and tools/documents as defined by Decision Inc.’s chosen methodology
  • Create and develop design specifications including gap/fit analysis documentation
  • Work with the technical team to design, test, and implement customizations and conduct prototype testing with the client
  • Participate in project quality assurance processes as appropriate
  • Provide end-user training and end-user support throughout the implementation
  • Assist Project Manager as required

Perform Ongoing Support Services To Existing Clients

  • Via email/phone/remote support and on-site visits
  • Proactively participate in strategic “way forward” discussions/meetings with clients, prepare scoping documentation and quotations, and implement proposals on acceptance by the client
  • Fulfil SLA requirements

Upgrades

  • Provide customers with information regarding upgrades
  • Assist in preparation of costing and timelines
  • Perform upgrade consulting services in accordance with upgrade principles and approved methodologies

Perform Admin Functions

  • Document services rendered using Decision Inc. time and expense billing system and other project management templates in a timeous fashion
  • Meet productivity and efficiency standards (billable hours)
  • Develop and continually refine Microsoft implementation standards, tools and documents
  • Use internal systems and processes to record client interactions
  • Interface with Account manager to ensure Decision Inc./customer documentation is correct and up to date

Product Knowledge

  • Attain product certifications as deemed necessary by Microsoft
  • Maintain product knowledge on upcoming product releases
  • Investigate and make recommendations on appropriate new technologies and products (including 3rd party products)
  • Provide mentoring to team members, as required

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree – preference will be given to Industrial Engineering or B.Com with Supply Chain (preferably at Honors level)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ consulting experience and 3 years’ product experience
  • Must have participated in at least 3 go-live data conversions, and/or upgrades, and/or full cycle implementations
  • Experience within consulting service environment
  • Proficiency in working with data
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to business people in a language they understand, and business requirements to technical people
  • Ability to successfully manage and maintain strong relationships with a team and clients
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Passionate and ambitious to deliver on the company’s strategic plan
  • Understanding how to enhance business with technology

Role Description & Responsibilities

As a Pre-sales Consultant in Supply Chain & Manufacturing Planning DELMIA, you will be part of the “EuroWest” team responsible for MEA pre-sales activities related to our DELMIA Quintiq & DELMIA Ortems solutions. These solutions offer a comprehensive portfolio of functionalities and optimization tools that enable customers to solve complex planning and scheduling challenges across various industries, with a focus on transportation and logistics planning.

In close collaboration with the Sales team, you will execute all necessary technical activities throughout the sales cycle.

  1. Define, develop, and implement strategies for opportunities, identifying challenges and key stakeholders at the customer site.
  2. Articulate value by understanding and mapping customer requirements, their impact on business processes, KPIs, and KVIs, and demonstrate how our solutions can deliver expected value.
  3. Prepare and deliver customer presentations, demonstrations, and responses to tenders.
  4. Act as the Opportunity Technical Leader, overseeing related activities.
  5. Support pre-sales activities for DELMIA Quintiq and DELMIA Ortems through advice, methodologies, and informational sessions.
  6. Collaborate as a unified team with all relevant DASSAULT SYSTEMES organizations (Sales, Industry, Brands, R&D, Services, etc.).

Qualifications

BSc, MSc, or PhD in Business Administration, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management, with electives in Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or mathematical optimization.

You should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with skills including:

  • Experience in transportation and logistics, covering processes involved in production, storage, inventory, delivery, and distribution across industries such as rail, mining, ports, and airports.
  • Experience in supply chain strategic, tactical, and operational processes (S&OP, MPS, MRP, Scheduling).
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and optimization across industries like energy, materials, transportation, and logistics.
  • Experience with planning software as a user, developer, or consultant.
  • Ability to work independently within multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in engaging with various organizational levels, from operations to C-Level executives.
  • Experience with value-based selling approaches.

You are curious, solution-oriented, eager to learn, responsible, ownership-driven, and persistent in solving challenges.

The role is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with an initial integration period of a few months in Velizy, France.

Fluency in English is required; French is preferred.
