Roles and Responsibilities Strategy & Planning- Develop and present actionable insights, strategic recommendations and business intelligence from analytical output to support strategic decisions on investments.
- Participate in the fundraising income and investment forecasting process by providing data analysis and process recommendations.
- Develop a comprehensive annual budget system and planning (including provision of the calculation bases).

- Assist and train campaign managers in KPI and campaign analysis, as well as report use.
- Work with the international Data Analyst and the BI tool to forecast the annual revenue.
- Make targeted and actual reconciliation of revenue and expenditure during the review cycle (6M, 12M)
- Identify causes for actual and forecast deviations on KPIs and give advice regarding the need for action.
- Illustrate data graphically and translate complex findings into written text, reports and visual presentations
- Analyse MSF Southern Africa data and benchmark against the market and/or other MSF offices.
- Develop a strategic analysis of different donor segments/portfolios and corresponding recommendations for action

- Create a statistical model that forecasts cancellation rates and trends, including lifetime value. Share results with channel/ campaign owners.

- Provide data-driven recommendations on the donor journey through analysis of revenue-generating and retention activities.

Manage the design and delivery of business intelligence and analytics solutions that provide business with the necessary data and insights that drive business decision making, operational excellence, business performance and service excellence.
Requirements Qualification- Valid Matric Certificate
- B-Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent quantitative qualification
- Master degree (Preferable)

- Experience in IBM Cognos platform (Advantageous)
- Develop and execute Business Intelligence strategies to enable business to leverage off its data and analytical assets
- Design and implement business intelligence tools and systems, including data warehousing, visualization, and reporting tools; Design, develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports
- Implement data modelling and organize complex data sets
- Identify trends and patterns in data to help improve business performance
- Elicit the business requirements and uncover business opportunities, resulting functionality, data and processes needed in order to recommend the appropriate solution
- Manage the delivery of data requests and maintenance of scheduled reports
- Accelerate the automation of reports and solutions
- Act as Data Officer and effectively manage the delivery of Statutory and Regulatory reporting
- Provide frameworks to best identify, understand, and interpret data structures across various databases within the business to facilitate data analysis and continuous monitoring activities
- Oversee the data sourcing, data models and data mining activities to support descriptive and trend analysis within the business environment
- Implement and manage data quality practices, measures and tools to ensure credible and trusted data, information, analyses and insights that are fully compliant to applicable legislation and industry standards
- Oversee the design and implementation of accurate, reliable and timeous metrics and reports to the business
- Oversee the delivery of data models, reports and insights that proactively identify risks within business, provide insight into business metrics
- Ensure and continuously improve the optimisation of data models, tools and solutions
- Actively pursue opportunities to assist business to identify risks and exposure and the prevention of losses through early detection and prevention processes
- Proactively Identify financial and business risks to the company and escalate accordingly
- Manage BI related projects to ensure the modernisation and optimisation
- Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service level agreements, monitor appropriateness and recommend adjustments
- Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
