We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Mechanical Technician Junior Millwright in Kempton Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a desire to learn and grow within our company. The individual will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any issues or potential problems
Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems
Assist in creating and implementing preventative maintenance schedules
Comply with all safety regulations and standards to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities
Assist in training and mentoring new technicians as needed
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- N3-N6 Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Trade Test Certificate as a Millwright
- 1-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or Junior Mechanical Millwright
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machinery
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role
