We are looking for a Draughtsperson to follow specific instructions from our team of engineers and convert designs into technical plans and be able to work in a team.
Responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment
requirements and setting up fabrication drawings. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and are familiar with processes, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you'll help us build functional, secure and well-designed products that meet our needs.
Requirements:
- 5 years of working experience, liaising with engineering shops and mining clients
Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software,
including but not limited to
:SolidWorks
- AutoCAD/Revit
- Canutesoft/FHC
Microsoft Office
Understand production methods and fabrication methods, and processes
- Site measurements
Fully efficient with:
2D drawings (including but not limited to GA's – specific to mines).
- 3D drawings (including but not limited to part models and drawings consisting of sheet metal or machined or fabricated, or assemblies or DXF).
Drawings including (but not limited to) Concept, Approved and As-built.
Dealing with suppliers and clients in terms of resolving any issues relating to designs.
- Liaising with project managers regarding site details.
Daily Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Generation of fabrication and site GA drawings
• Discussing the brief with the engineering team/manager
• Working from drawings, models or computer models
