General:
We are looking to appoint two (2) Quality Controller level 1 Nace for Sasol Secunda Projects who has significant experience working in the Petrochemical industry and or Scaffolding, Insulation and Painting. It is intended that this will be an Employment Equity appointment.
Responsibilities:
- Fully implement Southey’s IMS and related documents.
- Assure the development, implementation, and verification of quality activities affecting all aspects of the work to be performed.
- Drive continuous improvement, resulting in cost savings, higher efficiencies, and high-quality performance.
- Act as Southey’s liaison with parties outside the company on matters relating to quality.
- Manage project inspections and quality control activities and ensure conformance to contract requirements, including the review, submission, and approval of documents and records in alignment with quality assurance.
- Report to the Project manager on the performance of the Quality System, including improvements that are needed.
- Prevent the use of materials that would adversely affect quality and/or direct the removal and replacement of non-conforming materials or work.
- Follow up on audit reports and their corrective action status to ensure that progress is made towards improvement, and report this to the Projects manager.
