Concor Mining Services invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Supervisor (Workshop). The successful incumbent will report directly to the Plant Agent on the Mogalakwena Mine, located in Mokopane, Limpopo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Adhere to organizational Safety and Quality requirements by complying with all PPE requirements as prescribed. Ensure compliance with organizational safety, health, environment and quality standards and procedures. Report any accident/incident immediately to the Line Manager.
- Liaise with Supervisors and relevant Managers on a daily basis; conduct tool inspections on a monthly basis; service according to Concor service card schedule; coordinate all daily services and ensure all support equipment and correct tooling are available to complete the service; service cards to be signed off on a daily basis; control all support equipment.
- Keep the history files updated; check and sign all service cards on items repaired; complete paperwork/component slips concerning repairs to units; check and agree daily plant income before it is processed.
- Sign and check all stores issues. Incorrect issues to be returned to store.
- Initiate all relevant disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate leave schedules of subordinate employees.
- Control staff and quality of work at all times.
- Responsible to control and discipline all subordinate employees.
- Physically involved in daily services and repairs.
- Control oil consumption at all times and submit oil consumption report to the Plant Manager at the morning meetings.
- Daily liaising with the Production foreman regarding plant availability.
- Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency.
- General tidiness and good housekeeping of workshop and other areas of responsibility.
- Inform production of any machine abuse and condition of pit floors.
- Inform Production Manager timeously if the service/repairs are not completed in the scheduled time.
- Minimize fleet down time and treat with sense of urgency.
- Perform such other duties of a similar or related matter that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12/N3
- Degree/National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and relevant Trade Certificate (Phase training completed)
- Valid driver's license
- Valid SA ID
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years related work experience with supervisory experience with a 2.9.2 legal appointment.

Job Purpose:
Supervise a team of field operatives to ensure customer requirements are met, and work is carried out safely, diligently, and to a high standard.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and complete customer-required inspections and preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring timely execution and communicating any exceptions to management.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with established standards, document findings, and make corrective recommendations to customers, including safety concerns.
- Provide daily supervision and support for site-based Inspector/Technicians, performing spot checks to ensure the highest level of quality and workmanship.
- Prepare and review necessary documentation, including service reports, time sheets, and inspection reports, obtaining customer signatures as required.
- Offer quick quotes for immediate service or repair needs, and complete associated paperwork for tracking and follow-up.
- Maintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe working order, operating them responsibly and reporting any deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with all established safety rules and procedures, including those set by the customer.
- Support the implementation of the Service Model in the field, improving asset data quality and increasing improvement opportunities and sales leads.
- Comply with current OHS Acts, Regulations, and applicable Health and Safety policies, reporting all hazards, incidents, and injuries as per company procedures.
- Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
- Electrical or Millwright trade qualification
- Accreditation as Lifting Machinery Inspector (LMI) is advantageous
Experience and Technical Proficiency:
- A minimum of 5 years' field service experience
- Demonstrable supervisory experience
- Comprehensive working technical knowledge of cranes
Safety and Compliance:
- Thorough understanding of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) principles and associated legislation
- Proven ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and at heights
Mobility and Flexibility:
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally for operational requirements
Technical Skills:
