SA Steelworks requires a committed and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Engineering department .

• Be an expert in 3D CAD packages, including detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal design, weldments, and large-scale assemblies.
• Generate detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions.
• Be highly competent in mechanical stress and load calculations, and in the implementation of FEA and simulation software.
• Have substantial experience with industrial machine and structural design.
• Possess substantial knowledge of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission.

• B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2-7 years of industrial design experience.
• Advanced SolidWorks experience.
• Advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making, welding, and precision machining.

• LV electrical systems.
• Enterprise PDM exposure.
