KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in the design and development of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
- Conduct client needs analyses and site assessments
- Compile technical assessments, including maintenance, repair, and status quo reports
- Perform heat load calculations and propose practical system concepts
- Select appropriate mechanical systems based on project and client requirements
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards
- Consult OEMs and suppliers to source current system components
- Perform ducting design and related equipment selection
- Assist with Fire Protection, Detection, and Suppression systems design
- Support in drafting Rational Fire Design reports
- Contribute to Wet Services project designs, including hydraulic calculations for water systems
- Generate and review engineering drawings with the assistance of in-house drafting staff
- Compile engineering reports for all project phases
- Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, budgets, and technical specifications
- Conduct peer reviews for design documentation (in line with ISO 9001 standards)
- Participate in construction monitoring and on-site supervision
- Oversee project design and team management, ensuring timely and budget-aligned delivery
- Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with external stakeholders
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with internal Quality Management Systems
- Attend meetings and perform site inspections
- Undertake administrative tasks related to project and team management
- Operate independently and take responsibility for mechanical engineering design across various projects
REQUIREMENTS
Experience : 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the consulting or construction industry
Qualifications : BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
Skills :
- Valid Code B drivers license
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
