Main Purpose of the Job
You will be required to assist in production, this Includes material handling and loading and unloading of jigs.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Settings / Production Control
- Carry out the production plan / schedule as per instruction from the supervisor, planner, or manager.
- Maintain the batch control and a count of completed parts on the job card.
- Ensure 5s in the work area.
- Packing of the parts produced.
- Material handling of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
- Record all operations on the production system and ERP system
Quality
- Ensure quality procedure are always followed.
- Perform quality inspections. First-Offs, Last-Offs, Attribute Samples, Final Acceptance Cards
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Matric Diploma (Essential) with Maths and Physical Science
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal (Essential)
- Computer Skills (Preferrable)
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Attention to details.
- Be self-motivated.
- Have a good attendance record.

The Aerospace Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes. Part-time faculty positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department. Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and term. Applications will remain in the pool until the posting closes.
JOB DESCRIPTION : An Adjunct Teaching Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses with various options for on-campus and online delivery. All courses listed in the WPI undergraduate and graduate catalog under the Aerospace Engineering curriculum are of interest. Applicants should specifically identify which courses would be the best fit for their expertise.
An ideal applicant will hold an advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline. Prior experience as an instructor or a teaching assistant at the college level is required. Relevant industry experience is also valued. Responsibilities include teaching from an established course syllabus but with the addition of personal expertise and experience; conducting office hours; grading the course assessments; providing students with timely feedback; and providing materials used in course evaluations.
