Key Responsibilities: Transportation Management - Coordinate the movement of bulk cement from the port to warehouse locations. - Manage company-owned tankers and liaise with third-party transport providers for deliveries and collections. - Schedule and monitor the dispatch of cement and finished goods (bricks and blocks) to customers and internal sites. - Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety, legal, and company standards. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Identify opportunities where data science methods will significantly improve the Supply Chain division’s performance in the areas of forecasting, capacity planning, scenario modeling, process optimization, complex analysis and reporting Providing high quality analysis to the Supply Chain Development team working across all Supply Chain projects Providing inputs for the further development of Supply Chain network model and strategy in conjunction with the Analytics team and wider Supply Chain division Bridging gap between problems cases and data, from multiple data inputs and systems Plan, prioritize and manage a roadmap of work that maximizes value-add with limited time Develop solutions according to the roadmap using appropriate methods, depending on the problem Measure, report and continuously improve model performance Work closely with the Analytics team to brainstorm, identify opportunities and guide the roadmap Communicate opportunities and solutions effectively to relevant stakeholders Collaborate and share knowledge with the analytics teams across the company Attributes required: Proficiency in Data Analysis and using statistical methods in R and Python Proficient at gathering and wrangling big data sets from various sources including, SQL databases, cloud services, APIs and Excel/Google Sheets Proficient with advanced methods for regression, optimisation, classification and unsupervised learning problems Good communications skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences Strong business acumen Competence working with AI models & prompt engineering Excellent work ethic and ability to multitask Ability to identify problems, demonstrate the use of initiative and implement appropriate solutions Ability to understand supply chain issues and drive solutions Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects under a deadline Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics & Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or similar Master’s Degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics or similar highly beneficial Minimum 4 years experience within a Data Analytics or Data Science role Minimum 4 years experience using statistical methods (regression, forecasting and modeling) in Python or R Minimum 4 years SQL scripting experience Minimum 2 years experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau and Looker Experience within a Supply Chain, retail/ecommerce industry or similar would be highly beneficial Be part of the extraordinary.
