Job Description

The Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator at Ontec will be responsible for overseeing the seamless delivery of products to customers and managing procurement from suppliers, including both local and international entities. This position demands expertise in logistics, supply chain operations, and customs clearance processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Delivery: Coordinate the transportation and delivery of products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while maintaining quality standards.
  • Supplier Management: Procure products from local and international suppliers, based on pre-negotiated terms to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards are maintained.
  • Customs and Clearance: Coordinate with the logistics/freight company to handle customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulations for imported and exported goods.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor the ERP system and physical stock to manage inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
  • Physical Stock Counts: Perform cyclical counts to ensure that the physical stock and the ERP stock are the same.
  • Invoicing to Customers: Ensure that invoices to customers are issued in a timely manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations and reduce costs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement, customs clearance, and logistics operations.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable procurement and delivery channels.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve logistical and supply chain issues promptly and effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as required within the logistics department.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, clearance processes, and international trade standards.
  • Valid driver's license.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain coordination, with a proven track record in handling international suppliers and customs clearance.
  • Experience in managing delivery operations and supplier relationships.

We are seeking to employ a Supply Chain Executive to be responsible for the Supply Chain & Logistics division of the business. This role will be based at Clicks Head Office and report into the Head of Supply Chain & Logistics.

Job Purpose

To drive and optimise Clicks' end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, demand and replenishment planning, import management, supplier collaboration, efficiency and cost negotiations, financial and pharmacy planning.   • Develop and lead the annual strategic plan and budget for sales, margin, and inventory, ensuring full alignment with the business unit’s financial and growth objectives.
  • Champion the evolution and execution of Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) to drive alignment across demand, supply, and financial planning, enhancing cross-functional decision-making and accountability.
  • Drive a world-class demand forecasting capability, leveraging accurate demand signals and analytics to align forecasts with financial targets at product, category, and store levels.
  • Design and optimise inventory strategies across the product portfolio and logistics network to ensure product availability, service level excellence, and optimal working capital utilisation.
  • Ensure forward-looking capacity planning across Distribution Centres, including stockholding, throughput, and inbound/outbound flow to support business growth and avoid operational bottlenecks.
  • Manage end-to-end new product introductions, ensuring seamless forecasting, sourcing, and post-launch execution to maximise speed-to-shelf and product availability.

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead their supply chain operations. This role requires an analytical thinker with strong leadership and problem-solving skills to oversee the end-to-end supply chain function. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and other critical components.

  • Negotiate supplier contracts to secure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and compliance with quality standards.

  • Build and manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess inventory.

  • Implement and monitor KPIs to measure planning and operational performance.

  • Conduct supply chain audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and GMP regulations.
