Role Description

This is part-time hybrid role for a Fashion Designer located in Johannesburg. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for designing and creating fashion collections, developing concepts, selecting fabrics and textiles, and ensuring proper fittings. The role involves staying current with industry trends and overseeing embroidery work. The Fashion Designer will have to sew up garments and marketing teams to align designs with brand strategy and consumer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Fashion Design and Fashion skills
  • Expertise in Textiles and Fabric selection
  • Proficiency in Embroidery work
  • Experience with Fitting and ensuring proper garment construction
  • Strong creative and artistic abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Relevant degree or certification in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Experience in the fashion industry is an advantage
  • garment construction and sewing is a must
