Desired Experience & Qualification

Technical Expertise:

- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 modern offerings and Azure cloud services, including administration, deployment, and integration with on-premises systems.

Purpose
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our hybrid IT team starting on a 6 month contract.
You’ll work closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer and play a key role in managing a diverse technical environment across Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for first-line desktop support using RMM, EDR, and XDR tools to improve security and visibility across our endpoints. You’ll also support internal IT operations, manage assets, all while continuously improving the IT processes.
Tasks include:
- Deploy, manage, and support Windows, Linux, and macOS systems in a mixed environment
- Maintain core services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs.
- Ensure system health, patching, and configuration compliance across all OS types
- Administer and monitor RMM tools for asset visibility and automation
- Operate EDR/XDR platforms to ensure threat visibility, detection, and response
- Participate in endpoint hardening and zero-trust policy enforcement
- Track and manage hardware/software inventory through central systems
- Coordinate lifecycle operations: procurement, onboarding, maintenance, retirement
- Ensure accurate records of warranties, license keys, and service contracts
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure (VLANs, switches, firewalls, cabling)
- Troubleshoot network-related issues and document configurations
- Assist in capacity planning and network improvements
- Handle escalated tickets via Jira Service Desk and support cross-department IT needs
- Write clear and effective internal documentation (runbooks, SOPs, architecture)
Requirements:
- 3–5 years in a Systems Administrator or similar IT operations role
- Experience with modern RMM tools (e.g. NinjaOne, Atera, ConnectWise)
- Familiarity with EDR/XDR platforms (e.g. SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender)
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts (VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, firewall rules)
- Experience with Jira Service Desk or equivalent ITSM platform
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to document systems, policies, and configurations in a structured manner
