The Financial Accountant will be responsible for month-end reporting, including the preparation of management accounts and statutory packs. This role involves handling UK, South African, and EU VAT returns, as well as managing income tax filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international financial regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with regulatory bodies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Month End & Monthly Expectations
+ Complete Month end procedures at all period ends including but not limited to:
+ Closing off the various subledgers
+ Processing all month end journal entries
+ Hosting and chairing all month end meetings
+ Reviewing turnover analysis
+ Running all foreign exchange revaluation processes
+ Allocate all general ledger transactions and maintain the allocated general ledger accounts in SAP including monitoring, analysis and management of foreign exchange risk
+ Producing and reviewing allocated monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and having these duly authorised including reconciliation of all bank accounts
Reporting
+ Manage, prepare and review all internal reports required, meeting the Groups reporting deadlines. These reports will include but are not limited to:
+ Management Accounts Submission
+ Finnivo Submission
+ FinPack / Statutory Pack Submission
+ Provisional Monthly P & L
+ Compiling of Monthly, fortnightly and weekly reports
Tax
+ Periodic submission of UK VAT returns and supplementary reporting. Reports including management of UK VAT Deferment Account (Replaced by PIVA)
+ Periodic submission of SA VAT return and verifications.
+ Assist SCS Financial Manager with preparing and reviewing the necessary schedules to complete the SA Income Tax returns, journals, revaluations and payments.
+ Tax Schedules for provisional Tax
+ Compilation and submission of the annual IT14SD within the regulated deadlines
+ Assist with ensuring legal compliance with regards to legal fiscal and tax requirements in relation to the geographies in which they operate.
+ Periodic submission of EU VAT returns and supplementary reporting i.e. EC Sales List and IntraStat Reports including management of EU VAT Deferment Account
Budget
+ Capturing of the budget pack into BPC and Finnivo.
Vendors
+ Vendor Queries Control (meetings etc)
+ Vendor on boarding from a Financial Perspective (Vendor extension and changes via GMDM)
+ K2 PO Approval
+ Review and approve vendor payments including being bank signatory as and when required
+ Resolution of Queries
ERP
+ Periodic compliance testing implemented, controlled and monitored
+ Maintenance and the management of SAP developments and enhancements from financial/accounting perspective (monitor periodic compliance testing)
