Purpose: The purpose of this job is to manage the day-to-day maintenance of stock levels within the inventory parameters on the stock system and monitor the merchandising and housekeeping standards of stock on shelves in such a way that stock discrepancies are reduced in order to minimize losses. This includes managing the flow of stock from the receiving department in the respective departments in the store, ensuring that products are unpacked correctly and making sure that accurate stock records are maintained at all times. In addition, this includes ensuring that stocks correspond with stock on hand that’s recorded on the stock system used and investigating issues that arise in such a manner it ensures the continuous availability of stock.
Responsibilities- Control daily, weekly and monthly stocktakes/cycle counts in various departments according to a schedule
- Investigate stock discrepancies in various departments and liaise with stock controllers across the relevant branches to check stock on hands against computer stock
- Maintain stock levels including monitoring transfers to be actioned timeously
- Liaise with management on a daily basis where there are stock discrepancies; request management to adjust stock accordingly
- Investigate outstanding invoices and orders before forwarding adjustments to management, alleviating errors and checking of credit slips as per management's request or using initiative with regards to credit slips when stock discrepancies are identified
- Maintain harmonious working relationships with internal stakeholders who supply and transfer stock by consistently delivering internal customer service satisfaction in terms of the company’s customer service standards
- Comply with Health & Safety standards

- Manage the store man/stock clerks; ensure stock control is maintained at all times; manage the portioning of stock into containers.
- Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly F&B stock reports.
- Capture stock on the GAAP system.
- Complete voids on POS.
- Attend to customer query and complaints.
