We are looking for Engineers with experience in industrial engineering projects, emphasizing process engineering, to join our industry-leading Water team in Tshwane.

• Project management of industrial/process engineering projects.
• Perform complex engineering designs, calculations, and analysis of industrial processes across the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, and completion.
• Design of industrial infrastructure, including process units and civil infrastructure, with coordination across disciplines and development of 3D models, technical drawings, specifications, and quantities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation such as P&IDs, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Produce technical reports, specifications, and procurement documentation.
• Collaborate across disciplines and geographies within Africa and internationally.
• Maintain quality standards in accordance with Zutari’s procedures.

• BEng/BSc/BTech or equivalent in Chemical/Industrial Engineering; postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-training or Technologist-in-training with ECSA, or proof of application submission.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience on process engineering projects, covering full lifecycle from planning to construction.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in project management and construction in industrial engineering projects.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.

Assist in and support the ME plans on existing and new production lines.

Support ME Improvement objectives by analysis of lost time and problem-solving analysis or any other quality-related losses. Monitor & reduce cost of poor quality through ME and TQM processes; initiatives will be introduced to improve/reduce the cost of poor quality.

Ensure all agreed-to ME facilities, machine, and methods improvements are planned and implemented timely as requested through implementation and/or reported losses.

In conjunction with the management team, propose support and document the most cost-effective improvement strategies with timings to achieve improvement objectives. Support management in closing engineering-related problem-solving activities.

Ensure the loop is closed by implementing corrective and preventive actions. Meet improvement targets aligned with budgets.

Plan, measure, and meet budgeted improvements in materials and overtime costs. Support Kaizen initiatives and ensure 5S standards are maintained and improved upon, including in new production facilities.

Comply with all applicable compliance obligations. Provide a workplace free of injury and ill-health. Protect the environment and prevent pollution. Advise on correct PPE usage for facility requirements.

Meet or exceed customer quality requirements. Identify and mitigate risks affecting quality for new and existing products. Analyze process data to ensure targets are met. Approve manufacturing processes for production, including jigs, fixtures, and processes. Assist in trial activities to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Manage scrap to eliminate or reduce waste. Optimize production lines to meet customer demand and quotes. Evaluate and mitigate risks. Support cross-functional projects to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements. Address process concerns promptly. Ensure manufacturing processes are delivered on time and support the MPT process. Involved in process controls for new and current projects.

Focus on personal development aligned with company strategy. Adhere to HR policies. Conduct and evaluate on-the-job training, maintaining training records.

Carry out all reasonable instructions and tasks issued by management. Uphold the company's vision and values, acting in the best interest of the company per policies and procedures.
