The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Simulation to support our MQ-25 located in Hazelwood, Missouri . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.
Serve as the software architect for the MQ-25 Test Training Rehearsal Unit (TTRU) software to meet current USN contract requirements. Provide oversight and serve as subject matter expertise to software engineers across the MQ-25, T-7A, and T-45 vehicle simulation portfolios. Possess a business acumen for technical communication with our Navy customer, while driving new business opportunities for the MQ-25 TTRU Platform.
Serve as the technical leadership across MQ-25, T-7A, and T-45 to institute common software practices, usage of common software tools including Boeing Software Factory (BSF), alignment to future FABRIC roadmaps, and implementation of software product line methodologies where applicable. Possess a deep understanding of modelling and simulation with respect to Air Vehicle Simulation along with a proven track record of applying software best practices and enterprise standards across multiple software projects/products.
Position Responsibilities- Partners with stakeholders to advise on the review and identification of simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated.
- Oversees the design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities.
- Reviews data collection and processing for use in simulations.
- Oversees validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures, documenting test results and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models.
- Reviews the documentation and maintenance of technical code, algorithms, specifications and descriptions of simulation models.
- Partners with cross functional engineering teams to advise on integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- Oversees implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment.
- Advises management and influences internal practices on a wide range of topics related to the software engineering simulation environments.
