Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles are needed for this role.

A valid SA driver's license is essential
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Proven experience as auto mechanic technician
- Valid driver's licence & own vehicle
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Excellent physical condition
- Preference for a Technician to have his own mechanical / diagnostic tools
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic system to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
- Extensive client liaison
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs of work and issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
