• Assessment and Planning: Evaluating vehicle damage and determining the best repair methods, including estimating time and cost.
• Disassembly and Preparation: Removing damaged parts, body hardware, and interior trim to access the affected areas.
• Panel Repair: Straightening metal body panels using hammers, hydraulic equipment, and other tools to remove dents and damage.
• Parts Replacement: Replacing severely damaged or rusted panels with new or second-hand ones.
• Bodywork Finishing: Applying plastic fillers, then sanding and filing the repaired surfaces to create a smooth finish, ready for painting.
• Assembly and Refitting: Reinstalling repaired or replacement panels, along with body hardware, locks, and trim.
• Painting (sometimes): Preparing surfaces and potentially spraying panels with paint to match the vehicle's original color.

AUTO BODY STRIPPER & ASSEMBLER/EAST LONDON – Our client, a long established and highly successful Auto Body Repair Centre is looking for an exceptional Vehicle Stripper and Assembler to join their team.
Minimum Requirements;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Stripper/assembler of vehicle parts (Spray-painting experience advantageous)
Quality Workmanship
Vehicle structure knowledge
Must have contactable references
Clear criminal record
Own transport essential
Job details;
Stripping of vehicle parts before panel beating takes place and re-assembling the parts after is has been sprayed.
Make sure that all parts that are stripped are kept together for re-assembling purpose.
Assist with basic panel shop duties
Personality Attributes;
Accuracy for replacing vehicle body parts
Must have good communication skills
Good Interpersonal skills
Quality Assurance
Willing to work overtime.
Team work
Willing to go the extra mile
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
