Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. This position will streamline operations, reduce costs, and maintain high product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide technical support and problem-solving for the Manufacturing department to meet quality and quantity objectives.
  2. Review ECOs and implement new work instructions, tooling, and any training needed for plant assembly.
  3. Investigate production problems to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Write work instructions for new manufacturing processes.
  5. Train supervisors and operators in accordance with work instructions.
  6. Initiate continuous improvement activities.
  7. Provide technical support for Maintenance personnel.
  8. Act as liaison between Manufacturing, Maintenance, QC, R&D, and Purchasing departments.
  9. Design jigs and fixtures to aid in assembly processes.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

  3. Willingness to be hands-on within the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment.
  2. Machine and fixture design experience.
  3. PLC Software (GE Proficiency Machine Edition) experience.

This is a full-time position, on-site at the manufacturing facility. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate business needs.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

This job operates in a professional business office or home office where standard office equipment is used, and also in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. The role may require standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and good visual acuity to perform daily tasks. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and access to all facility departments.
