• Assisting in the development of procurement strategies to optimize cost-efficiency without compromising quality
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing
• Process requisitions and update management on status of orders
• Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
• Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required

A top-tier FMCG manufacturer in Gauteng is after a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer to lead site engineering and utilities operations. They need someone with 5 years + of solid experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the beverage, food or consumer goods industry. The role centers on keeping plant equipment running reliably, reducing downtime, and driving proactive maintenance and improvement strategies. A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering is required, and a GCC (Factories) is essential for South African candidates. Hands-on knowledge of systems like boilers, HVAC, compressed air, CO₂, and water treatment is a must, along with strong CMMS skills and project coordination ability. Reporting to the Financial Manager (CA), the Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Financial Manager and Finance Department through the accurate collection, processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data. The position is critical in ensuring the validity, completeness, and accuracy of financial transactions, while maintaining compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. This role is well-suited to individuals who have recently completed their articles, as well as experienced career accountants with a completed articles background.

• Daily processing and reconciliation of the cashbook
• Preparation of ad hoc payments and loading of payments on the online banking platform
• Review of supplier payment packs and verification of banking details
• Assessment and investigation of credit note applications in collaboration with the Sales Department
• Monthly reconciliation and processing of fleet and credit card transactions
• Maintenance and monthly reconciliation of the fixed asset register
• Month-end preparation and rollover within the Syspro accounting system
• Balance sheet account reconciliations and clearing of reconciling items
• Analysis of the income statement and verification of transactional accuracy
• Journal processing within the Syspro ERP system
• Preparation and reconciliation of monthly inter-company schedules
• Submission of EMP201 based on payroll information
• Reconciliation of VAT to sales and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation for interim and year-end audits and liaison with external auditors

Qualification / Skills / Knowledge Required

• Matric / Grade 12
• BCom Accounting degree / Related
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
• Experience with Syspro ERP system (advantageous)
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
