CASHIER VACANCY – Thats Fishy Humansdorp

Fish and Chip Restaurant has a great opportunity for a cashier to join the team

Functions include but not limited to the following:

  • Setting up the shop at the start of the shift.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Operate electronic equipment
  • Serving customers.
  • Cleaning to a high standard.
  • Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all payment measures. Being able to work at a fast pace without error and issue the right amount of change.
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
  • which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer
  • maintaining outstanding standards and solid product knowledge.
  • Sufficient product and product code knowledge as well as maintaining an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Ensure that all money is accounted for. The need to balance tills daily.
  • The ability to order change before the change runs low and in the correct quantities.
  • Closing the shop at the end of the shift.
  • Loading of daily stock received on Point of Sale system
  • Checking of daily stock
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30am to 6pm and Saturday 08:30am to 2pm and Sunday Closed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have experience in a similar role, i.e. restaurant / cafe / fish chip and shop
  • Must be professional, courteous, and confident in the work environment.
  • Must have a passion for producing top quality food.
  • Serving customers, we work quickly and efficiently, aiming to serve customers as quickly as possible.
  • Need to be able to work as part of a team.
  • He / she will be working in a very busy environment therefore needs to be quick and confident.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
