MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production planning (MPS & Shift) on SAP/Excel to timeously meet demand management requirements within inventory targets, OEE, allergen, cost and efficiency constraints.
2. Timeous distribution of the SAP/Excel extracted production plan to support MRP requirements.
3. Effective communication of any constraint impacting Demand/customer service.
4. Measurement and communication of production plan adherence by SKU, and mandatory attendance of all production meetings.
5. Scheduling new product introductions and product discontinuations in the most effective way, with minimal write-off exposure.
6. Clarification and maintenance of the production parameters and production data within SAP.
7. Maximizing the utilization of the SAP within production planning and scheduling.
8. Creation of ad hoc management reports as required.
9. Complying with all company regulations and procedures concerning Health and Safety.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1. Solid experience in a supply chain role working with customers, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders.
2. Practical experience of production planning in an FMCG company (preferably in the food industry).
3. Degree in Industrial/Supply Chain/Business/Accounting.
4. Proven leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
5. Excellent presentation skills and ability to proactively contribute to customer presentations.
6. Proven experience in managing and executing CI projects within a dynamic environment.
7. Cross-functional team player and able to operate effectively within a matrix structure.
8. Flexible approach & innovative problem solver.
9. Exposure to ERP/SC systems (SAP) and advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel).
10. Potential and desire to build a career within Supply Chain.
11. Flexibility in a complex, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that operations are run efficiently, whilst complying with all safety legal requirements.
2. Production planning as required by company operations.
3. Monitor the production process, quality, and safety continuously.
4. Ensure that production is executed as per planning, meeting all targets and deadlines.
5. Communicate efficiently with the Production Team and Senior Management.
6. Monitor production, quality, and safety statistics, and work on continuous improvement strategies with Management.
7. Participate in the maintenance and improvement of the company QMS system.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. A qualification in Production / Operations management is beneficial.
2. Previous experience as a Production planner/manager in a manufacturing environment.
3. Previous experience in OHS and Quality management systems.

Skills:

1. Previous experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
2. MS Office proficiency.
3. Advanced Excel skills.
4. Understanding of safety in a production environment, such as hazard identification, material storage requirements, and machine operating safety.
5. Basic finance knowledge of costing, overheads, and budget forecasting.
