We are looking for a skilled and qualified maintenance technician / Millwright to join a dynamic and ever growing manufacturing / Process company in the Netherlands.
Your duties will include but not limited to, carrying out planned maintenance, conducting routine preventative maintenance tasks, and attending to immediate plant malfunctions.
The candidate would be expected to be responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance of both mechanical and electrical maintenance of the plant equipment and machinery.
Reading, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints service manuals and work orders to preform the required work.
Job requirements
Minimum two years experience as a maintenance technician in a process/manufacturing or other environments. Must have completed Red Seal trade Certificate for basic qualification requirement to be a qualified Millwright no exceptions.
- Excellent communications skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Have a passion for learning and working with your hands;
- MUST be Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, willing to learn Dutch (Native language of the Netherlands)
Proficiency in Afrikaans
or Dutch is crucial, as all safety regulations and manuals are in Dutch. We seek candidates who are committed to swiftly learn spoken and written Dutch.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and preparation of production equipment.
- Attend to mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns on production lines.
- Support scheduled and unscheduled servicing of machines, including CNC and spring coiling equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication and inspections.
- Replace worn or damaged mechanical/electrical parts as needed.
- Assemble, fit, and install mechanical/electrical components and equipment.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in line with housekeeping and safety standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to diagnose and repair basic mechanical/electrical faults.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Able to read and interpret technical and mechanical drawings.
- Basic welding skills (arc, MIG and/or TIG).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Electrical experience, including the ability to fault-find motors, contractors, and overloads using a multi-meter (both single-phase and three-phase).
- Experience maintaining CNC machines is advantageous.
- Spring coiling machine experience is preferred.
- Safety-conscious and quality-focused.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- N2/N3 Millwright training or related practical training (advantageous).
- min of 5 years' experience in a millwright maintenance role or similar.
