  • Lead brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and strengthen identity.
  • Create and manage brand messaging across all channels and with partners.
  • Manage public relations and media relations to maintain a positive brand image.

5. Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
  • Encourage collaboration and innovative thinking within the team and across departments.

6. Budget Management:

  • Prepare and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Track expenditures and measure ROI of marketing activities.

7. Partnerships and Collaboration:

Attend weekly Management Meetings to drive the marketing strategy across the business.   2. Service Provider Management: Manage and monitor the company’s service providers to ensure they are delivering the agreed outputs and continuously drive improvement. Manage the budget, scope of work, and delivery of key service providers.
  3. Campaign Management: Identify and allocate key service providers to deliver against campaign objectives. Oversee the creation and execution of innovative marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, and events. Analyse and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.

Create and manage the brand messaging matrix and drive this across the business and with service providers. Manage our client’s positive public standing through PR efforts and maintain favorable media relations. Ensure the brand is represented accurately and consistently across all external and internal communication channels.
  5. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team. Drive ideation and collaboration across the business departments. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and take ownership of projects.
  6. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and funds. Track and report on marketing expenditures and ROI.
  7. Partnerships and Collaboration: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with agencies, vendors, and other third-party organizations. Align with sales, product development, and customer service teams to ensure cohesive and customer-centric marketing efforts. Ensure partners collaborate and report on the brand with a united perspective of the brand's performance.
  8. Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and content marketing. Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and technologies to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
EDUCATION AND SKILLSET REQUIRED:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a track record of successful marketing campaigns and team leadership.
  3. Strong understanding of current digital marketing techniques and best practices.
  4. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  5. Ability to think creatively and innovatively.

As a Senior Brand Manager you will report into the Group Marketing Manager.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS

- Translate marketing insights and analysis of key issues and opportunities into clear and compelling Brand Plans which you will implement. Brand plans to demonstrate execution of Business Strategy, Pricing & Channel Strategy, Promotions Plan and Innovation Plan to deliver agreed growth agenda (volume, value, profit)

- Identify, define, develop, deliver & track insight driven innovation and renovation that is accretive to the brand/s (volume, value, profit). This includes defining for the R & D team the product & packaging solution, for the sales team the trade and shopper solution, and for consumers compelling communication

- Generate brand relevant insights from all touch points; including market & internal analytics, competitive intelligence, consumer behaviour, trend data and other appropriate sources and turn these into compelling propositions to improve your brand/s’ health.

- Through a clear understanding of your brand/s portfolio and sku mix performance, influence key levers on the income statement to improve both top line growth and profitability

- With the support of the Marketing Manager, lead creative agency through the Communication Strategy process for your brand/s, culminating in the delivery of a Communication Strategy sign off of above the line and below the line campaigns vs the agreed brand key

- Ensure key day to day Brand Management tasks are executed fully and to a high level of quality including forecasting, media planning, promotion tracking, marketing Investment spend and management, quality tracking, brand health and share tracking, brand and range performance and management.

- Develop, empower and provide clear direction to the Junior Brand Manager.

Requirements

- 5+ years brand and marketing experience with a proven track record of working across functions to deliver marketing excellence and brand growth.

- Proven record of successful brand development and Idea to Market strategies

- B.Social Science / B.Com / Marketing / Business related qualification.

- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative consumer goods propositions based on rich consumer insights

SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Well rounded consumer goods experience spanning Marketing and preferably

customer marketing roles

Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists within the Old Mutual Africa regions (OMAR) actuarial team that offers exposure to an interesting combination of technical and business issues. This is an opportunity to participate in OMAR’s growth markets – Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, and eSwatini.

Reporting to the Finance Actuary of OMAR, the role requires sound technical knowledge of Financial Reporting requirements and OMAR product range, with strong planning and delivery focus. In this role, you will lead a team of actuaries.

  • Financial, Business & Risk Reporting: Effective and timeous delivery of valuation results covering IFRS profits, value measures, solvency and risk metrics for different stakeholders including: In-country management, OMAR Central, Head of Life Businesses, OML Group Actuarial reporting, OMAR Enterprise risk management, Balance Sheet Management and the Office of the Chief Actuary
  • Business Planning & Forecasting: Provide actuarial modelling and other input into the segment business plan, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Process efficiency and automation: Ensure processes are efficient, robust, fit for purpose and operated within an adequate and effective control environment.
  • Ad-hoc projects: Support the delivery of relevant project objectives, as and when these arise.
  • Business support: Use actuarial knowledge and skills to provide strategic support to the business and individual OMAR countries on various projects.
  • Leading a team – manage, train and mentor an actuarial team.

The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications, Experience required

  • A qualified Actuary with at least 8 years’ relevant valuation experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and provide business insights.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • IFRS17 implementation experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to diverse technical and non-technical audiences (written and verbal).
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Director, Data, Insights and Analytics

Responsible for effective communication of Commercial Drivers of the Business in “What Happened?” and “Why Did It Happen?” format; will oversee a team dedicated to delivering data-driven insights and analytics solutions that enable actionable strategies for commercial success in the Africa Operating Unit (OU). This role is critical to supporting revenue growth, improving decision-making, and driving a measurable impact across markets and channels. Will be responsible for managing data infrastructure, advanced analytics, insights generation, and execution alignment with cross-functional teams, including total support of Commercial Organization.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities (Top 5-8 Core Responsibilities)

  • Define and implement the data and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with broader commercial and AOU Goals
  • Own the development and maintenance of data pipelines, infrastructure, and governance frameworks to ensure clean, accurate, and accessible data.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources (e.g., bottler data, Nielsen, Panel, Macro) to support actionable insights with Standard Reporting.
  • Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights and decision frameworks for commercial organization and key stakeholders
  • Deliver real-time dashboards, reports, and presentations to track performance as well as Commercial Input metrics
  • Develop predictive analytics models (e.g., demand forecasting, price elasticity, promo effectiveness) to enable proactive commercial strategies in markets with dynamic challenges (e.g., inflation, affordability).
  • Become champions of Commercial Advanced Analytics tools such as Copilot, PvP, TPO

Functional Skills:

  • Strong strategic & systematic thinking (forward-looking vision and anticipating of future needs)
  • Identifies client needs and creates value; proven ability to work with high degree of autonomy once given direction.
  • Strong Problem Solving & Analytical skills; ability to draw actionable insights from data; experience with sales analytics

  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, Kantar, IRI) and building unified dashboards for decision-making.
  • Exceptional ability to turn raw data into actionable insights through advanced modeling (e.g., price elasticity, forecasting, churn analysis).
  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, Programming, AI) and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree (engineering, finance, business, economics)
  • Preferred Level: Master degree in business or associated field

Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in sales, finance or RGM with expertise in customer planning, focused on delivery of world-class results in a complex, distributed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver upon results; ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Business performance management – practical experience using data systems to track and steward frontline initiative execution
  • Demonstrated experience using analytics to drive commercial results, including pricing, portfolio optimization, and execution strategies.

Preferred Level:

  • Extensive experience (10 years +)
  • Field and headquarter experience working closely across finance, sales & marketing, BIS, etc.
  • Business operations experience with execution accountability

You’ll work closely with the founders, growth, and creative teams to expand our reach, generate high-quality leads, and position RocketDevs as a top player in our space.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and lead the overall advertising strategy across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram), and emerging platforms like Reddit, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Oversee campaign architecture — from full-funnel targeting to conversion — ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Direct creative development for ad campaigns: write strategic briefs, collaborate with designers, and refine messaging to maximize CTR and conversion rates.
  • Analyze and interpret performance data to optimize budgets, scale winning campaigns, and eliminate waste.
  • Identify and test new advertising channels, tools, and approaches to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Oversee tracking infrastructure — from pixels to GA4 to Conversion API — ensuring accurate attribution and actionable data.
  • Lead and mentor any future advertising team members, fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
  • Report directly to the Head of Growth or Founder with strategic insights and forward-looking recommendations.

You are a technical specialist with experience in the industry and have a sound and broad expertise in the application of refractory products, preferably in the steel industry and you have the experience and ability to manage a team involved in the application of refractory products at our customer sites. Your excellent cooperation and communication skills make it easy to act as an interface between RHI Magnesita and its customers. As a Technical Expert at RHI Magnesita you will work hand in hand with the departments Sales, Engineering and R&D as well as our production plants and pursue the common goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty.

In addition, you have :

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in technical Marketing of refractories and / or in the application of refractories in the steel production environment.
  • Experience in quality management systems would be a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (, mechanical engineering, ceramic engineering, materials engineering or metallurgical engineering).
  • Good MS office skills.
  • Distinctive problem-solving competence, strong customer orientation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, 40% of worktime would be used for visiting customers.

About the job

The main purpose of this job is to spearhead technical marketing of RHI Magnesita products in the respective region by defining aggregate wise product strategies and implement target actions within agreed time frame to improve product performance and maximize profitability.

Your tasks will include :

  • Resolve customer complaints and coordinate product failure analysis, trouble shooting and implementing solutions within target time frame to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Verify the effectiveness of the corrective and / or preventive actions implemented for their effectiveness
  • Present & Review Products, Services, Solutions (value creation projects) at Key customers to gain edge over competition
  • Create technical offers & proposals
  • Provide technical expertise and detailed application knowledge of customer processes and refractory products to support the sales activities.

What You’ll Do For Us

  • Represents the total Trademark commercial perspective in all discussions/decisions across bottler network and communicates initiatives to bottlers and customer teams.
  • Ensure representation of channel needs and proper translation of brand strategies across retail & foodservice channels.
  • Partners with brand team to ensure commercial leadership organization serves as a single source of direction delivering and transformation brand strategies into actionable plans.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and achievement of annual commercial business plan.
  • Align channel input on price/pack architecture and ensure channel coherency and directs and steward’s commercial development of all new item introductions
  • Lead collaboration with Revenue Growth Management functions to develop tools and tracking for sales teams to ensure maximization of revenue and gross profit.
  • Support category/brand teams in determining program budget, manages the program allocations across channels/customers and re-allocates funding based on performance.
  • Supports Commercial Leadership category strategic planning and performance management.
  • Lead development of tools and tracking to ensure profitable growth across the portfolio.
  • Partners with product/package leads in creation of brand/ package launch decks/PAGS for delivery to channel planning and sales teams for use in the market

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or another related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • Leadership and experience working across multiple channels – e.g., large store, small store, and Foodservice/On Premise channels.
  • Experience in brand and category management, coordinating pricing and promotions, and customer and sales.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen through the ability to create a 1-3-year business plan for brand/category and a path to achieve that vision, anticipating future trends and needs in the marketplace and business; demonstrates innovation/creativity
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all organizational levels; communicates long-term vision and shorter-term opportunities through clear & simple messages.
  • People leadership/management – specifically, managing virtual teams and influencing multiple stakeholders with different priorities.
  • Strong track record of leadership across cross-functional teams
