Job Description
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining customers network & telephony solutions as well as the company’s network infrastructure. This includes configuring and troubleshooting network equipment and IP devices such as IP phones, routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as monitoring and optimizing network performance.
Travel Required: Yes (Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle)
Salary Range: R 25 000.00 – R 35 000.00 based on experience and certifications
Working hours: 7:30am to 17:00pm and over time when needed
Key Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining customers network & telephony solutions as well as the company’s network infrastructure.
Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment and IP devices such as IP phones, routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as monitoring and optimizing network performance.
Monitor and optimize network & Telephony performance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network & Telephony infrastructure with other systems.
Stay up-to-date with the latest network & Telephony technology trends to
recommend and implement improvements.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience with SIP, IP PBX & Networking.
Must be able to work independently and not have to be micromanaged.
Must have matric certificate and all telecoms and networking certifications
available.
Must have own reliable car and smart phone.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion
detection systems.
Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure.
