We are looking for a qualified Earthmoving Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal) to join our busy workshop in Kraaifontein, Cape Town . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesman to work with leading brands of earthmoving and construction machinery in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in servicing and repairing earthmoving and heavy-duty diesel equipment
- Hands-on experience working with brands such as LOVOL, CAT, Bell, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or similar
- Strong technical knowledge in hydraulics, transmissions, engines, and electrical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, fault-finding systems and technical manuals
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher) – PDP advantageous
- Must be based in Cape Town (Kraaifontein area)
- Physically fit, hardworking and committed to maintaining high quality standards
- Additional qualifications (e.g. Auto-Electrical, Hydraulic Systems ) will be an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of earthmoving equipment
- Overhaul, strip and rebuild engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
- Respond to field service call-outs and attend to breakdowns when required
- Ensure that all work is done to OEM specifications and safety standards
- Complete accurate job cards, inspection sheets, and service reports
- Maintain tools, equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment
