Overview
The Global Supply Chain learner (GSC Learner) is responsible for generating and supplying management information (MI) reports in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. These reports comprise Health, Safety and Quality performance, data entry activities, and general Supply Chain reports. Additionally, the incumbent actively participates in relevant meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Also responsible for coordination of product change within Supply Chain that include the F2103 process, engaging with 3P manufacturers as well as collating data for update in bp Global Database. The incumbent works closely with Blendcor Joint Venture (JV), UnicoTec, technology, procurement and mainly manufacturing departments to ensure continual support to manufacturing management in meeting service level agreement between SC and its customers.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Performance
- Tracking supplier quality performance and recording non-conformities in the regional supplier complaints registry system.
- Recording and tracking customer complaints via global data base (eQMS).
- Monitoring 3rd party manufacturers’ product quality performance and updating MI periodic reports.
- Capture minutes & generating periodic quality performance reports from engagements between Castrol & its 3P suppliers.
- Tracking & recording manufacturing Quality Observation Conversations (QOC’s) against global performance.
- Coordinating Inter laboratory Correlation Programme (ILCP) testing samples in the region i.e. collate & report results from participants.
- F2103/NPI Process.
- Coordinating and tracking efficient execution of F2103 relating to New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as product change activities between technology, marketing, manufacturing and relevant 3rd party manufacturers.
- Handling of Customer samples
- Receiving & distributing customer samples to relevant manufacturers in cases of complaints.
- Tracking customer complaint Root Cause Analysis (RCA) progress and collating data for reporting.
- Compliance & Quality Audits
- Tracking audit findings & following up with 3P’s for closure.
- Degree holder in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Ability to think analytically and solve problems independently
- Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly

Minimum Requirements
- You must be a South African Citizen.
- You must be a final year student studying towards a BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering or hold a completed qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- You must have 12 months or less working experience.
- You must have maintained an average academic achievement of 65% or above.

The minimum requirements for this position are:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing detailed designs.
- Doing feasibility assessments and site inspections.
- Preparing and implementing project plans.
- Researching and providing estimates for projects.
- Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures, production processes and regulatory compliance.
- Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors.
- Managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.
- Provide guidance and technical advice to various persons and departments, including engineering personnel, Branch Chief, Section Chief, Engineering and Construction Department, and Architect-Engineer firms where necessary to develop basic specification procedure and policies to cover new types of projects and structures, and to make clearer various phases of the construction work.
- Communicate with higher authorities on issues concerning specifications, engineering interpretation and explanations, supply of items, and items of work, and offer recommendations on reviewing specifications.
- Visit proposed project site to obtain necessary information for use in creating project specification. This includes condition and location of project site, location of storage and staging areas, and character and scope of work.
- Perform technical review on specifications to ensure completeness, and exactness, and to remove restrictive descriptions to ensure competitive bidding.
- Incorporate special features, which relate to the project at hand into specifications. These include order of work, physical conditions at the site, construction work schedules, method of payment and measurement, construction procedures and special methods, and coordination with contractors and other stakeholders.
- Analyse survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
- Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
- Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
- Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, gates, and elevations to guide construction.
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility.
- Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
- Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
- Conducting studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects.
REQUIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
- ECSA registration would be advantageous
- Microsoft Office Proficiency

- Civil 3D/Techno CAD
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years' relevant experience
- Valid Driver's License
