We are looking for automotive technicians/mechanics who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. Our full-service facility aims to foster an environment of success!
ResponsibilitiesAs a Midas automotive technician, you will perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:
- Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Tire repair and replacement
- Car heating and air conditioning
- Steering and suspension repairs
- Belt and hose replacements
- Radiator and engine cooling system services
- Batteries, starting, and charging system repairs
- Brake repairs
- Muffler and exhaust system services
- Visual safety and courtesy inspections
- Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team
- High personal productivity
- Knowledge of safety and environmental standards
- Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and scan tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- State-specific auto repair certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment, including diagnostic tools preferred
- Ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles

Job Responsibilities:
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
- Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
- Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Maintains an organized work area
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Automotive Service Technician experience
- ASE certification desirable
- Excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair
- Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis
- Performs wiring repairs
- Advises shop of needed repairs
- Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts

- Collects signature or payment for work performed
- Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date
- Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of OE scan tools
- Ability to learn new tools as needed
- Knowledge of wiring repair procedures
- Ability to service A/C systems
- Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade
- Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems
- Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like
- Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent
- 4-10 years related service technician experience required
