Full job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the execution of the production process. The role requires meeting production requirements (throughput, quality, and waste reduction), while adhering to Health and Safety standards and maintaining good housekeeping.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring safe working conditions for the team.
  2. Monitoring product quality to meet standards.
  3. Ensuring the production lineup follows the plan and daily throughput targets are met, with detailed reports if not.
  4. Maintaining good production flow across all stages, including overtime forms, raw materials, tooling, manufacturing, palletization, and waste baling.
  5. Maintaining discipline by addressing misconduct and completing relevant paperwork.
  6. Maximizing machine efficiency by monitoring throughput speeds.
  7. Accurately capturing data in Abaca and completing work order analysis.
  8. Ensuring team members perform their duties and adhere to policies and procedures.
  9. Maintaining equipment and ensuring the workspace is neat, tidy, and safe.
  10. Monitoring stock requirements, issuing raw materials, receipting finished goods, and accounting for waste.
  11. Reducing setup times through effective job preparation.
  12. Minimizing waste and setup time, and maximizing efficiency and performance.
  13. Identifying, investigating, and solving issues promptly.
  14. Communicating issues and deviations effectively to management.
  15. Meeting business targets and providing insights when targets are not achieved.
  16. Collaborating with quality control, suppliers, and other staff for effective production.
  17. Managing time effectively and adhering to scheduled times.
  18. Maintaining professionalism and appearance at all times.
  19. Following company policies and procedures.
  20. Possessing excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  21. Ensuring products meet all quality standards.

  • Relevant 3 year Diploma or Degree in a Finance Qualification

  • Excellent and demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Technically sound with ability to multitask and meet deadlines
