- Use of personal Protective equipment viz. lab coats and gloves
- No open-toed shoes
- Maintain a clean room environment by disinfecting benches/equipment daily with disinfectant.
- Disposing of hazardous medical waste according to the waste management procedure

- Accurate data capturing on the lab software (Prelink) from the lab request form
- Keeping to Turn Around Times
- Unacceptable, urgent and add-on tests for specimens must be entered into the logbooks.
- Assist with telephonic queries
- Add on tests to original request.
- Sending referral specimens.
- Record the temperature of the specimen reception room in GF 3.19 log.
- Disinfect work area and complete decontamination log GF 3.18.
- Storage of samples with the LIMS Prelink.
- Ensure Specimen Reception consumables are adequately stocked.
- Complete laboratory assistant data verification check weekly.
- Perform shift duties as per the roster.

Purpose of the role:
Support the winemaking team during the busy harvest season. This seasonal role is ideal for an entry- to mid-level candidate interested in gaining hands-on experience in wine production and laboratory analysis. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring grape quality, conducting routine lab tests, and supporting the production team to ensure high-quality wine outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
