Key Tasks
- Implement systems for the effective control and monitoring of Advanced Technology Automation products.
- Understanding of configuration management and experience with Windchill or eB software will be advantageous
- Implement and enhance control system standards for machine interoperability and external client connectivity.
- Ensure interfacing to client control systems is implemented effectively. Service authority to meet clients commissioning milestones and service level agreement requirements.
- Develop and review code.

- Investigate and propose ideal instrumentation solutions for the specific environment to be used in. Advisory role to the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Discipline and the Research & Development function into instrumentation selection.
- Develop electrical systems as needed for Advanced Technology Automation products.
- Technical design documentation, report writing, deliver presentations and hold design reviews.
- Formulation of product data packs.

Qualifications
Formal qualifications:
- Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications
Formal qualifications:

Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 yrs post-qualification engineering experience, with focus on conceptual design and experimental testing in fluid mechanics and terramechanics.
- Proven experience in mechanical design product/system development from concept to evaluation.
- Skilled in assimilating knowledge gained into appropriate formats and databases, and dissemination of technology through technical reports and presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
- Experience with CAE/CAD tools, including solid modeling.
- Experience in CFD, DEM and advanced use of MS Excel for simulation and modeling is essential.
- Experience in designing or developing mobile mechanized mining machinery will be a distinct asset.

- N3 Certificate, Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate with a minimum of 10 years' experience on the maintenance of equipment required for underground mining; plus
Role-specific Knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience as a Senior Foreman or GES or relevant
- Minimum of 5 years' experience on Underground fixed plant (Winders and Shafts; BAC/Fridge Plant; Ventilation Fans; Ground and Water handling) related maintenance activities
- Technical Knowledge in maintenance and management of Gyratory Crushers, Stacker Reclaimer, Dewatering Multistage Pumps, Slurry Pumps, and Conveyor belts systems

- Bolters (Sandvik DS411, DS412i, and DS422i)
- In-the-hole (ITH) Long hole Drills (Sandvik DL321, DL421, DL422i, DL432i and Rhino 100)

Underground Support Fleet
