Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills :
  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
  • Certified competent as a Batch Plant Operator (OEM / registered training provider)
  • Computer literate, ability to complete online training courses
  • Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
  • Ability to listen and follow procedures and instructions precisely, using a step by step approach
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Batch Plant Operator on a mining site
  • On the job experience of batch equipment operation and mixing procedures including cement, sand, stone and chemicals
  • Experience assisting with minor batch plant breakdowns
  • Working knowledge of concrete additives and aggregates
  • Understanding of various concrete products and mixes for different applications
  • Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
