Cementation Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Shift Supervisor Mining to be placed in Tharisa Mine. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer.The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
• Safe achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR, Cementation Africa’s and client requirements
• Stakeholder engagement
• Effective self-management and alignment with Cementation Africa’s 1st Choice values and leadership initiatives
• Supervise and lead underground crews to achieve production and quality targets to project scope
• Cost containment through effect cost control and efficient target achievement
• Self and team understand and comply with legal regulations and Cementation Africa’s policies, procedures, standards and safety protocols
• Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
• Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations and Cementation Africa’s standards, policies and procedures
• Accurate, timely, relevant reporting and administration
• Effective risk management and compliance with MHSA, SHEQ, Cementation Africa’s and client requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills :
• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Blasting Certificate of Competency
• Recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Sound levels of English literacy and numeracy (minimum NQF 3)
• Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Good communication skills (English literacy and numeracy at minimum NQF 3)
• Team leadership skills
• Sound planning, co-ordination and monitoring skills
• Resourceful problem solver who can work within agreed parameters
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
• 3 years’ experience in an underground mining environment as a Shift Overseer
• Experience in sinking of declines with trackless mining equipment is required
• Mining, sinking, development, stoping and Timberman experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge of SHEQ standards and requirements

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Office & Accounts Administrator with strong exposure to the mining or plant hire industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in debtor and creditor functions, vendor registration systems (such as Coupa or Ariba), and financial reporting. A background in yellow metal equipment or plant hire is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Debtors & Creditors Management: Manage accounts receivable and payable functions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Vendor Registration: Handle vendor onboarding and registration processes on platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, or other similar procurement systems.
- Invoice & Purchase Order Processing: Create accurate tax invoices using rate per tonnage and rates per hour; process and manage purchase orders and ensure alignment with billing.
- Account Reconciliation & Analysis: Create, reconcile, and analyze account statements; identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Consolidate general expenses and revenue; assist in preparing monthly financial reports and summaries.
- Industry-Specific Support: Experience working with yellow metal equipment or plant hire operations; understand industry-specific billing, costing, and asset tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer literacy
- 2–3 years of relevant Office & Accounts Administrator experience
- Familiarity with vendor platforms like Coupa and Ariba
- Experience in plant hire, mining, or equipment rental industries
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Job Description
- Follow up on waybills, Purchase Requisitions (PR), and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Liaise with clients regarding outstanding POs.
- Update PO reference numbers in the system.
- Generate invoices based on customer POs and within the correct period.
- Split and attach all necessary documents with the invoice and submit.
- Submit invoices to customers with proof of receipt.
- Send invoices to finance teams for account to GRV.
