We are looking to add an Animal Care Attendant to our team at Animal Tender Pet Resort
REPORTS TO: General Manager
PAY: $15.00/hour + tips
CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):
- Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.
- Sanitizes/disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas.
- Provides clean bedding and ensures pet guests have clean water at all times.
- Makes sure that each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal and maintains cleanliness of food prep areas.
- Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet guest; brings concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
- May be required to supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests.
- May be required to assist with bathing and brushing of canine guests.
- Checks and picks up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day.
- Monitors pet belongings; cleans belongings as needed; assures the return of pet belongings to owners. Carries pet belongings to storage area, front desk or to assist customers, as needed.
- Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!
- Professional animal care/kennel experience preferred.
- Displays a professional manner at all times.
- Entry Level role. High school/ College/ Teenagers 16+ encouraged to apply.
Physical:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

We are looking to add a Lead Animal Care Attendant to our team at Animal Tender
REPORTS TO: General Manager
PAY: $16.00 - $16.25 /hour + tips
CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to):
- Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet.
- Sanitizes/disinfects pet enclosures and general boarding areas.
- Provides clean bedding and ensures pet guests have clean water at all times.
- Makes sure that each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal and maintains cleanliness of food prep areas.
- Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet guest; brings concerns to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Visually checks pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day.
- May be required to supervise group play for dogs and/or individual activities for pet guests.
- May be required to assist with bathing and brushing of canine guests.
- Checks and picks up excrement from enclosures and other areas as needed throughout the day.
- Monitors pet belongings; cleans belongings as needed; assures the return of pet belongings to owners. Carries pet belongings to storage area, front desk or to assist customers, as needed.
- Performs daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
- Assists General Manager in overseeing additional animal care staff in regard to scheduling, coaching, training, and complaints
- Supervises assigned shifts and works with Animal Care Attendants to maintain a clean, safe environment for our pet guests.
- Works alongside center management to train new hires in proper animal-handling techniques
REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise & Experience:
- Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!
- Professional animal care/kennel experience is required
- Displays a professional manner at all times
- Relationship building
- Ability to adapt
- Experience giving medications
- CPR Training preferred but not required
- High School Diploma
Physical:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to handle dogs of various sizes on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.

Clinvet SA is widely regarded as one of the leading animal health CRO's globally. We are recruiting for an Animal Care Assistant and Cleaner for a fixed term period of six (6) months within our Animal Facility Operations and Study Support Department at Clinvet South Africa at our Bloemfontein site.
Primary Job Purpose
Cleaning of animal facilities providing food and water to animals and animal handling
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning animal facilities, stores, and equipment
- Providing food and water to all animals to ensure healthy and well-cared for animals
- Interact with and handle all animals
- Handling, stacking and storage of animal feed
- Record and handle data to ensure accurate and consistent information for departmental use
- Maintain and replace environmental enrichment, replenish facility consumables and equipment
- Grade 12
- A relevant qualification will be beneficial
- 1 years’ experience in the care and handling of dogs, cats, rodents, and farm animals
- Confidently handle all types of animals and have an affinity for animals
- Comply with the physical requirements as determined by the profile of the position
