Our client is a prominent private company that owns a number of established outlets in the Western Cape. They are expanding and have a need for enthusiastic people to support this growth, which includes a Floor Supervisor position based in Eerste River, Gugulethu, Mandela Park and Khayelitsha.


Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Floor Supervisor is to effectively plan, control and monitor the performance of the floor department including groceries, perishable, frozen and back up areas and ensure they operate at an optimal level.


Responsibilities:

  1. Meet customer needs with a smiling face and remember that the customer always comes first. Always make our customers know that they are important.
  2. Handle all customer questions and concerns.
  3. Use customer suggestions and complaints to guarantee that the needs of the customers are being met.
  4. Ensure staff adheres to required customer service.
  5. Meet sales targets and develop and implement strategies to achieve them.
  6. Meet gross profit targets and develop and implement strategies to meet GP targets.
  7. Maintain expenses within budget.
  8. Contain shrinkage within the budget and develop and implement shrinkage controls.
  9. Monitor wastage and develop and implement methods to reduce it.
  10. Optimize sales m² for each department by setting targets per product category.
  11. Evaluate rate of sale per product category and implement recommendations for improvement.
  12. Identify ideal stock levels per product category.
  13. Determine range per product category.
  14. Evaluate ordering record per product category in relation to rate of sale.
  15. Evaluate delivery schedules and implement recommendations for improvement on a monthly basis.
  16. Conduct spot checks of the products received daily.
  17. Assist with category stock counts cyclical schedule and investigate variances.
  18. Ensure the best methods for stock rotations and ensure compliance.
  19. Evaluate stock levels according to rate of sale.

Our client in the manufacturing industry is on the search for a Millwright Supervisor to join their team in Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Planned and break down maintenance (Electrical and mechanical).
  2. Ensure all site work is done safely and as per company procedure (ensure that all paperwork is in order before work commences).
  3. Stand-by and call out duties (operate boiler, boiler setup, and breakdowns).
  4. Installation of equipment and commissioning thereof, including boilers, burners, and auxiliary equipment.

Key performance areas:

  • Ensure conformity with all applicable laws and regulations, including minimum rates, taxation, and benefits administration.
  • Process monthly payrolls for certain entities for all contract types.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric with a relevant qualification.
  • At least 3 - 5 years relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with a payroll size larger than 1 000 staff members.
  • Working experience with Sage People 300 or SAP Payroll will be advantageous.
  • Must be computer literate – (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Good understanding of employee tax and employee benefit fund administration.
  • Knowledge of BCEA and other employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities Office Administration & Facility Management
  • Oversee physical office space organization, including document digitization and office setup for new occupants.
  • Conduct regular office and facilities walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Supervise conference room readiness daily — ensuring equipment is functional, rooms are clean, and supplies are stored.

Technology
  • Ensure all conference rooms are fully functional, clean, and equipped for daily use, including AV systems, mirrored screens, and login processes.
  • Troubleshoot tech issues in coordination with IT and maintain basic working knowledge of all systems.
  • Prepare desks and workstations for new hires.
  • Coordinate with Christine Tran and Stanley Chong to ship equipment to remote employees and manage equipment returns during offboarding, including sending boxes and return labels.
  • Handle IT-related purchases based on links from Christine Tran; route larger orders to Shawn for approval.
Team Support & Collaboration
  • Serve as a central point of contact for general office-related questions and needs.
  • Assist with special projects, such as office relocations, holiday events, or new initiatives.
  • Maintain master key access and ensure controlled use based on authorization.
    • 3+ years of experience in office administration, operations, or facilities management.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and vendor negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; comfort with learning new technology and communication tools.

  5. Thorough knowledge of SAP Payroll System.
  6. Excellent MS skills - Excel advanced required.

Are you experienced in warehouse operations and have strong people management skills? Our client in Paarden Eiland requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual to oversee daily warehouse operations and drive efficiency across stock control and dispatch for a large warehouse.

Hands-on problem-solving skills, effective leadership and a sharp eye for accuracy are essential for this role.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade12) or equivalent (post-matric qualification is an advantage)
  • At least two years warehouse, logistics, and stock control experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with formidable organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work extended hours/shifts to meet customer requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Supervise stock control, including receiving, storage, and dispatching, while minimizing damages, losses, and discrepancies
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and oversee periodic stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Plan and manage logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries
  • Maintain accurate stock transaction records on the computer system
  • Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse infrastructure, equipment and fleet
  • Lead, train and support a professional, customer-focused warehouse team
