So, what will you do?
The Regional Retail Lead will focus on device sales, stock availability, product visibility, training of retail personnel on all iKhokha product offerings and processes, and building strong relationships with our retail partners (Store managers, Sales Managers, Department Managers, Store Sales consultants). The Regional Retail Lead will have a team of direct reports in both formal and informal retail environments and will drive these disciplines through their team.
The successful individual will be responsible for Gauteng, Free State & North West Provinces.
In addition to the above, you will:
Sales:
- Be responsible for device sales and activation within your designated territory.
- Participate in in-store and informal activations as required.
- Provide sales reports as needed.
Stock Availability:
- Ensure early and effective escalation of stock shortages.
- Drive stock level reporting disciplines through in-store agents.
- Provide insights to management and propose improvements for stock management.
Training:
- Develop and execute in-store iK training programs for retail staff.
- Report on training completion and suggest improvements based on feedback.
Account Management:
- Build strong, trustworthy relationships with retail partners.
- Liaise with in-store consultants to promote products and drive sales through promotions and incentives.
- Analyze market and customer trends to identify opportunities and propose actions.
- Research and suggest improvements in training, sales, and relationship management across your stores.
- Gather competitor information and report findings.
- Ensure all stores in your region meet KPIs.
Merchandising:
- Enhance product visibility and accessibility for consumers.
- Negotiate with store managers to improve product placement and cross-merchandising.
Reporting / Monitoring:
- Adopt and utilize the company's monitoring platform for in-store activity.
- Ensure activity logging by your team on the system.
- Supervise the use of the system by your direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Matric qualification minimum.
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Sales, or related field is desirable.
Deal breakers:
- At least 3 years in sales operations, retail sales, or field sales, with 1 year managing a large retailer and team.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Additional Skills & Knowledge:
