Manage all aspects of foreign and intercompany creditors, ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation, payments, and reconciliations. This role is responsible for maintaining clean intercompany accounts with zero variances, timely processing of payments (especially foreign), accurate posting of inventory and cost of sales, and compliance with local and international financial and tax regulations. Additionally, the role supports the Financial Controller and Associate Financial Controller with budget preparation, forecasting, and various ad hoc financial improvement projects.

Education/Training/Experience/Qualifications/Skill - Requirements
  • B.Com. with specialization in Cost/Management Accounting or Auditing
  • Professional certification (e.g. SAIPA, CIMA, or similar) advantageous
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Familiarity with multi-currency environments and forex transaction handling
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax legislation
  • Exposure to inventory accounting in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Regular updates on local and international tax and compliance changes
  • 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a multinational or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with foreign creditor management, forex revaluations, and intercompany account balancing

  • Accurate capturing of foreign supplier invoices against correct GL accounts and cost centers
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and correct for forex payments, including SARB compliance
  • Process monthly foreign supplier payments timeously and accurately
  • Reconcile foreign creditor accounts monthly and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain up-to-date and compliant records for audits and statutory requirements

Inventory and Cost of Sales Accounting
  • Post and reconcile inventory-related creditor transactions

  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to support cycle counts and variance resolution

Intercompany Account Reconciliations
  • Maintain balanced and accurate intercompany accounts across multiple currencies and legal entities
  • Process and validate intercompany invoices and journals monthly
  • Resolve mismatches through timely communication with internal stakeholders and counterparts
  • Revalue intercompany balances monthly in line with forex rates
  • Prepare intercompany confirmations for audit purposes
General Ledger Review and Reconciliations
  • Perform GL reconciliations across assigned accounts including inventory, payables, VAT, and tax provisions
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively, escalating risks where necessary
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed on time and are audit-ready
  • Analyse production and operational costs and flag anomalies to management
Tax and Compliance
  • Prepare and submit VAT201, ITR14, ITR14SD, and other statutory schedules as required
  • Ensure timely processing of input and output VAT entries and reclaims
  • Support external auditors and internal compliance audits by providing relevant schedules and explanations

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the scheduling & logistics team, including materials purchasing planning, production scheduling, inventory management, product life cycle change management, disposals, risk and SLOB management, and master data governance. Identify and implement improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability in the supply chain, including vendor management, seasonality and promotions planning and supplier inventory planning. These activities should deliver expected PPOF, PPLF, PTP and PR agreed-on targets, which in collaboration with Central Supply Planning deliver Customer Services levels.
  • 100% Engagement: Drive the team to a culture of total employee ownership by effectively managing systems to drive empowerment and engagement for all Employees and promoting active participation in learning and continuous improvement activities. This includes Building the capability of the workforce separately, Employee development and coaching in behaviours and competency development, as well as management of daily, weekly, and monthly review processes.
  • Responsible for all systems monitoring and enhancements (SAP), system training and core power users. Main lead into McCormick IT for technical enhancements/changes.
  • Responsible for the tactical and strategic factory materials and inventory plans, set targets, and manage year-on-year stock value/inventory turnover improvements to support Supply Chain targets. Input into the S&OP process at the Site.
  • Represent the plant on local, regional and global Supply Chain projects, with regard to Commercialisation, CCI and engineering changes. This includes the execution of Commercialization projects and Warehouse work transportation for safety risk.

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Management or related field desirable.
  • Experience in Production and materials planning, and management required.
  • Operations / Supply Chain background and proven track record of target-focused delivery in a fast-paced Operational environment required.

Job Description

The Binning and Issuing administrator are responsible for the administration and practice of accurate storage and distribution of delivered goods within De Beers Technologies SA. The role of the Binning & Issuing administrator is responsible for direct physical interaction with Supply Chain colleagues and internal and external clients.

Key Tasks
  • Identify, check, load, unload, bin and record material received timely and accurately.
  • Issue, distribute and record material released timely and accurately.
  • Consolidate work-in-progress material per manufacturing project.
  • Control material accuracy to prevent losses.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure optimum material items are maintained.
  • Control, use and ensure timely maintenance of forklift.
  • Propose and implement best practice methods and processes to further enhance warehousing.
  • Perform any other tasks that can legally and reasonably be expected, i.e. do goods receiving and expediting tasks at times
  • Officer (Expediting and Receiving)
  • Receives materials for storage or issue to internal clients
  • Sale of Spares Assistant / Sale of Spares Specialist / Internal clients
  • Provides goods to be distributed
Qualifications

Formal qualifications:

  • Matric and Certificate in Supply Chain.
  • Warehousing experience
  • Forklift operating certification (advantageous)
Role Specific Knowledge
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP an advantage)
  • Basic commercial principles
  • Basic logistics principles
  • Basic technical / engineering component familiarity.
Skills required for the role
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build internal and external customer relationships
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Co-operation, communication and collaboration skills that promote effective teamwork
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Self-motivated, proactive, energetic and adaptive to continuously changing work priorities.
  • Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
