The Operations & Restaurant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue and bistro, ensuring smooth running by managing staff across various departments like, food & beverage and maintenance, while prioritizing guest satisfaction through high service standards, budget control, and adherence to operational policies and procedures; they also handle staff training, complaint resolution, and maintaining property upkeep to optimise guest experience and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaising with Project Manager and Head of Sales to execute event bookings in venue as well as with the clients to determine and finalise event requirements.
Ensure that the department delivers a consistently high standard of client service. Also, achieve business objectives and maximise the profitability of all outlets. Maintain effective cost controls in all areas.
Plan and direct the main operations including quality, standards, cleanliness, client satisfaction.
Work alongside Director to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.
Be responsible for maximising profit through the consistent delivery of the highest standard of service.
Be responsible for all the day-to-day queries, complaints or problems that arise in the business.
Promote a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
Manage and schedule staff for events.
On-the-day staff management at various events after hours and weekends.
Manage venue site visits with clients.
Maintain and build client relationships in the events and hospitality industry.
Ensuring that the venue and facilities are clean and organised.
Liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics.
Communicating and enforcing all Zeitz MOCAA Museum regulations and protocols.
• Ensure all operational processes are executed to the best of your ability.Manage inventory levels of supplies and equipment, coordinating with vendors to maintain proper stock.
Generate reports for senior management on key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure, with difficult clients and to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
Excellent promotional ability and knowledge of marketing channels and techniques.
Great interpersonal and communication abilities.
Excellent communication skills in English.
