Purpose of the Position

Responsible for the execution and delivery of projects in support of business objectives and ongoing operations through the management of multiple projects within SBV, within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
  1. Plan, manage, and deliver medium to large projects.
  2. Improve administration efficiencies and provide administrative support for project delivery.
  3. Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Provide guidance to direct and indirect reports on deliverables and project governance.
  5. People Management: Lead as an ambassador and executor of change.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Work Experience: At least 5 years managing the delivery and execution of medium to large initiatives end-to-end.
  2. Experience working in the Banking/Financial sector is advantageous.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office Suite at an intermediate level.
Education
  • Relevant 3-year degree or diploma.
  • Relevant Project Management Certification (advantageous): CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

  • Conduct weekly touch-base meetings with stakeholders.

  • Oversee accuracy of SLA ticket tagging and typing for month-end calculations.
  • Manage and ensure precision in network monitoring and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Establish and enforce service level agreements with maintenance providers.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures for public and private spaces, including new technologies.
  • Upgrade and standardize infrastructure (e.g., transitioning from LTE to Fibre or stabilizing electrical connections) to enhance network reliability.
  • Lead teams to reduce mean time to repair for tickets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Handle maintenance contractor billing, invoicing, and repair cost management.
  • Analyze top outage tickets to minimize recurrence.
  • Contribute to the development of the National Maintenance Strategy.
Quality Assurance Management
  • Ensure QuickBase data accurately reflects field equipment.
  • Supervise the Quality Assurance team to maintain infrastructure (new and existing) to high standards and specifications.
Backup Power Management
  • Oversee backup power installations.
  • Identify and address poles with failing backup power.
  • Manage stock tracking and updates in QuickBase.
  • Enhance backup power solutions for improved reliability.
  • Ensure all power management units report accurately with reliable data.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Project Management or a related field preferred; PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Over 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a relevant industry.
Systems
  • Proficient in project management software and tools; experience with QuickBase is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making.

About the role:

Working in partnership with our, the Project Manager leads creative and digital projects from concept to completion, providing the direction and control required to do this. The Project Manager is responsible for the investigation, and translation of client briefs into a feasible, creative solution using their experience and knowledge of delivering cross platform projects and using smart operational processes and workflow management. What you will be doing:
  • Work in true collaboration with the client and be responsible for a seamless successful project outcome

What you need to be great in this role:
  • 3-4 years’ experience of managing campaigns in a creative, production or social agency.
  • Strong proven project management skills and experience.
  • Experience creating and updating project plans and regular project status reports.
  • Experience + knowledge of delivering cross-platform projects e.g. digital display, website and video – In order to advise in triage of new briefs
  • The ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise workloads to maximise productivity
  • Considered, assertive and influential; ability to lead, with the skills and aptitude to develop and motivate a team
  • Able to think on your feet and make decisions; someone who finds solutions rather than simply reports problems.
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to effectively work under pressure
  • Experience with stakeholder management and stakeholder communication on projects.
  • Experience in prioritizing and effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly adaptable to new procedures & systems, and ensuring that these systems are adhered to
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion to make sure quality control procedures are adhered to
  • Have a positive, can-do outlook, willing to leverage past experience to provide the best solution for each project you own.
  • Be unafraid to ask questions and have an innate ability to identify and manage project risk.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project planning and co-ordination with customer & internal teams on overall and weekly basis.
    • Assemble and manage a project team of internal and external professionals.
    • Monitor and review the workload of PDS Managers.
    • Operating Visual Project Management techniques in daily practice.
    • Daily management and monitoring, reporting of important milestones to keep close control.
    • Risk management by Issue Tracking, mitigation actions.
    • Create and evaluate project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status reporting to internal and external parties.
    • Coordinate with Global Product Management & Global Engineering for signoff on project scope.
    • Develop a Master Project Plan with detailed Weekly action plan, detailing the resource and time committed for the assigned project.
    • Complete all technical integration evaluation of various elements forming an end-to-end solution.
    • Define clear product and solutions specifications and drive gap analysis / estimating of work content.
    • Develop Functional Specifications and Change Notices.
    • Act as the Program Technical Customer Interface.
    • Oversee the entire project life-cycle and manage cross-functional team from project initiation to production release and roll out.
    • Day to Day management of program team personnel and communication with key stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage program schedule ensuring on time delivery of agreed to milestones and deliverables.
    • Plan, organize, lead and control the progress of the assigned projects as per the customer requirements.
    • Manage project budget and Produce detailed cost breakdowns for all work & task.
    • Responsible on Project P&L.
    • Responsible for Projects signoffs and Pos.
    • Responsible of change requests.
    • Working as part of a team, manage resource requirements and utilization, keep up to date trackers of project roll-out activity from initial plan through to invoice.
    • Develop the Cost targets as per the Business Plan and in line with the Business requirements.
    • Investigate and negotiate change proposals with relevant stakeholders.
    • Periodic Monitoring of projects to ensure that milestones and performance indicators are met as per the agreed time frame.
    • Direct and coordinate the development of strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented project outcomes and provide advice on remedial action.
    • Manage the expenditure of project budgets and prepare associated financial summary reports for members of the steering committee and functional leaders.
    • Conduct Alpha and Beta Trials in Field for Product validation process.
    • Responsible for ensuring the Activities right from Project Initiation to Project Launch.
    • Prepare project status reports and other reports required as per project management methodologies of VBS

    • As per Board-approved PMO and as necessary for functions outside the PMO.
    • As delegated by the Managing Director, when necessary.

    Personal Qualifications & Experience

    Education/ achievements

    • Degree in IT, Electronics, Electrical,
    • Instrumentation, Mechanical
    • PMP or equivalent project management certification
    • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical

    Experience/ Knowledge

    • 5- 10 years on hand on project management equivalent combination of experience in an advisory and/or engineering supervisory capacity required

    Specific Skills

    • Technical project management skills or well-developed business analyst experience

    Potential Skills

    • Domain (Preferred Industry) – Mining and Industrial, Petroleum Downstream, Process automation.
    • Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
    • Experience with gate process and agile methodology.
    • Proven sensitiveness of commercial issues and consequences of actions.
    • Distributed & multi-cultural team management experience.
