As part of the Senior Management Group for South Africa, the candidate will be responsible for the finance function of the Alfred H Knight South Africa group. The candidate will ensure the accurate and timely submission of management accounts to group standards. Whilst also ensuring that anything reported is both consistent and adheres to local GAAP, group policies and procedures. The candidate is expected to not only have strong technical skills but also to gain a thorough understanding of the business to enable the reporting of insightful financial information. This will mean involvement in all aspects of the business such as operations, commercials, and legal, in what is considered very much a ‘business partnering’ role.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing strong financial controls and working with operations and senior management to improve financial performance.
